This volume is easily one of my favorites in the series. Naruto, having mastered Sage mode, takes on Pain, who singlehandedly brought down the entire village. It brought shivers to my spine and I felt all the awe of all the villagers as they see this old fuck-up surpass everyone including the legendary ero-senin.

I know greater shit happens later in the series, but at this point in time, Naruto has become truly awesome, and it affects me as only a true underdog story can.

Brilliant.

Yep... just when I thought it was safe to go in the water. BOOM. Lets make sure to kill off the OTHER favorite character. Thanks, I really needed to feel myself die again. It actually took a good friend of mine spoiling what happened to get me reading again after this.

I must say it is and it will forever be(fingers crossed) my favorite Manga novel read.

the way Masashi Kishimoto described the characters is just awesome, you get to see them growing up, becoming responsible... powerful...

and it is not just characters,

The plot itself is so much bigger... u simply can't get enough of it. and add to that,

u get more than just entertainment, you learn...
what is
responsibility,
respect,
kindness,
friendship...

so it is not just a manga it is a way of living... The sprite

This is a review of the entire series.

Once upon a time, the spirit of an evil Nine Tailed Fox wreaked havoc on Konohagakure; the Village Hidden in the Leaves, killing hundreds of honorable ninja in the skirmish and leaving many children without homes or parents. The Fourth Hokage (leader of the village) unleashes a forbidden jutsu (magic spell/ninja ability) to seal the spirit of the evil fox into the body of a newborn baby named Naruto at the cost of his own life. He did this in the hopes that

Naruto, Vol. 46, by Masashi Kishimoto, is about a boy named Naruto who is a shinobi. While he is off training, a rouge ninja named Pein is trying to get everyone that has a jinjurikan (special beasts held within only certain ninjas) to destory the world and create a new world with peace. He looks for Naruto in the village, and destroys the village. Naruto hears the news and comes back from his training to fight for his village, and revenge for Pein killing Naruto's sensei. As expected Naruto arrives and everything will almost be sorted.
I don't like the back- up and ground work done by others whose credit will go to the kid with the new technique.
Naruto is showing no growth , except getting new fancy techniques cause others see potential in him.
A bit expected , no surprise factor in this episode.
I am excited to know who pein is actually.

Masashi Kishimoto’s 46th Volume of Naruto contained some of the most action-packed pages in all of the series. After Naruto’s sensei died at the hands of the Akatsuki leader, Pain, Naruto was put into a state of anger, seeking revenge on the extremely powerful ninja. He was brought to Mount Myoboku, the land of the frogs, where he was trained in the art of sage jutsu, a very powerful technique, that would hopefully give him enough strength to fight and defeat Pain. Meanwhile, Pain had attacked t ...more

This book is one of the best's books of this series. Some parts of this book is about when Naruto comes back from his training at the frog mountain. Then once he returns to his village he at first does not recognize it because his village has been destroyed. After knowing it was his village a person named Pain appeared in front of Naruto and was told that he destroyed his village. After that Naruto gets mad and decides to fight off pain, but since this is only the beginning of the fight it does ...more

This rating would have been four stars but throughout this volume, the women of the series felt... useless? Despite being one of the all powerful trio (I forget their name), Tsunade is really brushed aside? It may have just been to make Naruto more of a hero and all that crap but it really frustrated seeing a character the readers know to be incredibly powerful kicked to the curb so that the protagonist can come to save their asses. You might say typical shounen but, ugh, God I wish it wasn't ty ...more

Overall Rating: 9/10 - This is basically a re-read for me as I have been reading Naruto since 2002, and I read every initial chapter release. There is just so much I can say about Naruto all of it Naruto, except the Kaguya part. I firmly believe it was a useless plot in a way and i would have been more content if we would have gone directly to the Naruto/ Sasuke fight after Madara's "defeat" (seriously he wasn't defeated just used, like Obito, like so many others....). I don't feel like I should ...more

Is this the best volume so far? Maybe! Pain destroyed the Leaf Village just to find Naruto? Is Kakashi dead? Naruto said he couldn't sense his chakra. Naruto mastered Sage mode and is now fighting Pain. Pain's assault continues as the heroes of Konoha attempt to elucidate his identity and secrets. Intense and unforgiving battles are interlaced throughout this volume, one that might have had a casualty that no one wants dead.

This entire volume was Pain attacking Konoha and the destruction he’s creating. Naruto arrives in Sage Mode and is landing some hits but I’m not too sure it’s enough to really defeat Pain. I’m excited for the next volume.

pain's destruction of konoha in literally one single blow was a master display of what-in-the-absolute-fuckery. also i know pain's powerful and all, but that doesnt rly explain why every single shinobi in the village suddenly seems to be completely inept and mediocre when facing him. ...more

At the time of this review, I have read 44-49, 51-56, 58, 67, and 69. As always, I will try to focus on this particular volume.

Reading Out-of-Order
Because I can get impatient and I am fairly good at understand plot with some skipping around, I am reading Naruto out-of-order. I am trying to wait to read volumes 70-72. With that said, I am SO glad that I have read ahead and I know about Boruto or else this volume would have hit that much harder!
