The book is based on case studies of child abuse victims and describes and analyses the effects to their life and also gives some excercises for different kind of problems. The book surely expanded my understanding of the effects that an abuse can have on a person and gave some aim how such problems are dealt with. The book also included writings from the victims and that really helped to understand their feelings better.
Though as a psychology student I felt like it was written a bit too simplistically for my taste. I would have liked some more professional information.
