Great Book

The first half of this little book John Bunyan takes you up to Heaven and shows you around. Most of Heaven we cannot understand while we are in these earthly bodies, so it is a very limited trip. The second half you are taken to Hell and he shows you some of the horrors is Hell. Such as, what makes Hell, Hell? Answer: it is eternal, forever, you never get out, and you will have a mind that remembers. You do not want to go there!

Romans 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Yours in Christ,

a wonderful presentation of the truths and marvelousless of the heaven that awaits all who place their hope in the eternal Saviour (: certainly a good read that makes you long all the more for the Day you meet the Lord, and also encourage you all the more to make your calling and election sure.

and the visions of hell do too help us see the grace of God even more, when you understand more completely the eternal death that we all deserve. and to pray all the more for others to come to taste the heavenly goodness whom God gives freely as well.

I never knew that John Bunyan had experienced a vision such as this. But I found it greatly compelling and also in line with more current renditions of such experiences. John Bunyan never fails to impress. I'm also a huge fan of the Pilgrim's Progress.

*** Not actually written by John Bunyan. George Larkin 1711 - Read critically.***
The author spirits the reader to both heaven and hell in order to observe and converse with the inhabitants therein. The happiness of heaven and the utter sinfulness of sin are elegantly elucidated. Recommended.

Powerful

Everyone should review this book which strengthens faith. I found it helpful, even though the section about evil is difficult to read.

A pesar de ser un libro corto. Me dejó grandes enseñanzas.

This was exactly what i needed. It definitely encouraged me to kill the sin in my life and strive to be more Christ like. I never knew he had this experience. The first part he takes us to heaven and the whole time i was smiling and longing for the day i get to be there. The second part was hell, oh my, it was terrifying.

I would certainly recommend this book. Though sometimes the sections would seem tedious, I very much enjoyed and was helped by the perspectives that John Bunyan presents for heaven and hell.

TRUTH

AWESOME TRUTH about an AWESOME GOD!
GOD LOVES US SO MUCH, that HE took ALL of our PUNISHMENT, so that we could LIVE FOREVER without sin, pain, crying, disappointment.
To reject HIM, is to submit ourselves to punishment for ALL ETERNITY!

Reads like a more biblically sound divine comedy. One where the Bible was actually read and understood before writing this story. Kind of would have liked to see what this would look like if it was a bit of a longer story.
