God, I love these characters. I had forgotten the joy that is Zemo's arrogance that he can save the world better than anyone else. I'd forgotten Songbird's struggles to be the best. Atlas is still one of the most rounded fuck-ups in comics. The only thing missing here is Moonstone manipulating the hell out of everyone.

Reading these Thunderbolts issues with Genis-Vell piss me off. It comes off like Fabian Nicieza didn't want to even use Genis and merely had him there as a tool to bring together Zemo and the others. The death of Genis came off as half assed and a big "fuck you" to everything Peter David built. Part of me thinks this was all due to bitterness of the horrible LEGACY series that was canned after 6 issues. Oh well.

Interesting idea, the government pays the Thunderbolts to take down the Avengers because they don't trust them. Some more character moments and you are really starting to get to know these new people. A good read.

It starts to fall apart a little at the end, perhaps because the book was coming to a close, so plotlines had to be resolved. It's more sloppy than what came before, although still decent for a superhero comic.
