BOO!!! I was hoping that . Though to be honest, I'm not that surprised. Yoh and Haruna's relationship is a very sweet one, more PG than PG-13. Either way I'm happy for them. I liked how this volume dealt with the future of their romance. Instead of forcing some ridiculous drama, this issue was a realistic one. How does a couple continue when one half is heading off to college? Do you leave and go long-distance? Or do you stick around for the sake of your relationship? This whole scenario made me feel for Haruna more. It was really sweet how she was putting Yoh's needs before her own wants. Her actions showed how much she truly cared about him.

Asa has once again managed to make me loathe her existance. I think this time has been the worst. I can't believe she attacked Haruna like that after the overnight trip. She was acting like Yoh was her boyfriend, NOT her brother. It was just yucky to me. She was being very selfish. I get that they have a tight family bond, but it came off like she was IN love with Yoh. Also, she kept going off about how much more she loved Yoh than Haruna did. With her personality, I don't get how anyone would like her. I still don't understand why Fumi puts up with her. After how she acted in this volume, I'm not sure she can be anymore unlikeable. This series is almost over, but I wouldn't put it past her to have one more act of bitchiness.

Aww, there's only one more volume left, which makes me sad. I might as well read that one next. Hopefully, Haruna and Yoh will get a happy ending!

3/4 stars.

I am writing about the overall series. I finsihed reading the entire series on January 7, 2011.

The overal series was pretty great. I gave it a 3/4 star rating. Let's talk about some things now.

I. Love. Yoh. I just love him. He is so adorable! Andd I hate that I have to say that. But I can't help myself, he is SO ADORABLE! ANd cool, and awesome, and hot(lol) and all those other wors to descibe him. I love his personality and I love how he is easily embarrassed. He is just so ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!! I want him. And for all of you who think this is creepy(which it kinda is), I tend to fall for awesome fictional male characters. I LOVE YOH. And you would too if you ever read the manga.

Haruna. In the beginning of the manga I thought she was realy, really stupid. REALLY STUPID. And then later on I thought she was realy, really annoying and too much of a perfectionist. In the end, I ended up liking her. Maybe not in the ending because I didn't know my feelings for her in the end. She kinda made me have this weird angry-nice-weird-awkward vibe towards her. Her character is really thought out though. But overall, she's all right.

In the beginning of the book, I thought the whole concept was really kinda dumb. I mean, a love coach. That's just kinda ridiculous and desperate, which Haruna was, but pathetic. Though that whole concept fades later n, it was just really ridiculous. Ri-dic-u-lous. Ridiculous.

THere are many parts that made me laugh or gag when I was reading this manga. Let's look back in my brain and take a moment to laugh at them. HAHAHAHHA! LOL! LAWLS! OMG! OMG! HUH... FUNNY! AHHHAHAHHA LMAO!AHHAHAHH!hhohohohohohoho! omg! HILARIOUS.... Sigh... Huh... Funny.

Overall, the series was really great and funny and entertaining and sweet and sad and I recommend it to everyone I know and don't know. Though, the guys out there might now like it.

P.S. I really hate Assa.
I like Fumi.
I love Asaoka. ♥♥♥

Si bien lo que está pasando es interesante, siento que el autor la re alargó al pedo. Lo tendría que haber dejado en el volumen 10.

3 de 5 estrellas.

Cool cover with all the characters. Good volume as usual. Can't believe there's one more volume left. Wonder how the series will end? Can't wait!

So much stuff happened in this volume that I don’t even know where to start!

I guess first off, I was really impressed how the overnight trip was handled. Yoh is such a good guy. <3

The chapter with Mami was heart-hitting!! She has been one of my favorite characters and have loved her and Haruna’s friendship. They are so amazing and I truly hope they stay best friends for a long time to come!

I LOVED how Haruna helped Yoh when it came to career searching! I found the chapter really moving, though that ending was a gut puncher. My heart aches for both of them and hoping things will work out for good in the next volume!

Ahh, that was really cute!
It continues with Haruna's ever present optimism and good will, even when she's in tears. I just really love her character, and how casual her relationship with Yoh is.
At times this volume felt really rushed? They are coming to the end of it. I think they could have left out the drama with Asami and instead drawn out the college application part with Yoh.
Ahhh, I can't believe I'm gonna be done with this series.

Sigh. I'm glad You and Haruna talked about sex and how it's not necessary but that wanting it is ok too, and that's about the only good thing in this volume. Just when they decide to actually do it and are ready and excited, all their friends burst in. And then we have a stupid chapter about Asami being annoying again and having a gross brother complex even though she's literally had a boyfriend the entire time. Why. Just why.

I almost forgot about the stupidest chapter in this whole series, where Haruna's best friend ominously announces that she has betrayed Haruna to just about everyone, and just waits for a long time to say what happened for the drama, and then it was some stupid minor thing years ago. Why is this here??? Maybe if this was an initial chapter when we're getting to know the characters, but this is the penultimate volume, can we be so serious right now??

And then the college arc starts which was inevitable, but I didn't like that Haruna told Yoh not to go to his dream college because it's far away after he struggled so hard even picking a career, but I suppose we'll see where that goes.

Overall I'm just disappointed that they were so close to developing their relationship and then the author just threw it all down the drain for a stupid micro arc exploring a character being annoying who had already been explored. Just what's the point of any of this.

reread: that overnight trip was SO sweet, I like Haruna telling Asa she loves Yoh more than Asa does (and that being the only thing she has ever been pissed about), Mami and Haruna <3, that one panel of Mami teasing Asaoka, Haruna trying so hard for helping Yoh finding something he is passionate about, and just YOH AND HARUNA- nothing that they do would ever be cringe to me (even haruna saying 'to be your wife' when yoh asks her if she has a dream is not cringey, idk why it's just the way she says it and the way he reacts and it's funny but it's also slightly embarrassing because they are thinking about it and it's just THEM). They are just two people in love trying so hard for each other ohmygod. everything that they do is just 'talented, brilliant, incredible, amazing, show stopping, spectacular, never the same, totally unique, completely not ever been done before, unafraid to reference or not reference, put it in a blender, shit on it, vomit on it, eat it, give birth to it.'

Poor Haruna wants to be supportive so badly but it still hurts her... Also, I have mixed emotions about the beginning portion with Asa being jealous of Haruna & Yoh’s relationship.
I understand that she is Yoh’s younger sister and there would be some sort of conflict but the girl has some issues. I feel like those kind of jealousy and slight co-dependency issues would have worked better in the beginning when Yoh first started to date Haruna. It just didn’t make sense for Asa to feel that way when Yoh and Haruna’s relationship had already progressed so much, and it was obvious that Yoh had fallen for Haruna.

AAAAH I'M ALMOST DONE WITH THIS SERIES
I NEED MORE SHOUJO.

Asami and her brother-complex needs to chill pls but tbf I'd be pretty attached if Yoh was my older brother too +_+.
Alsoooo, future careers! Finally! I thought the entire series would revolve around the ups and downs of their relationship (not that I'm complaining) but there is a bit of slice of life too!
I'm interested to see where the Kawahara decides to take the story in the next volume.

But seriously, can someone recommend me more cute shoujos like this pls T-T

3 and a half stars
this volume is pretty inconsistent
1. it's like the author doesn't know what to do sometimes so she adds bitchy asa again. but this time it's very annoying and uncomfortable... she is jealous of her brother's girlfriend...
2. i liked the mami chapter, but it was very random.
3. i don't like the time skip. it was yoh's birthday and now it's winter. the series had a pretty good pace until now
i feel like the series is not as good since volume 10

Oh, this one was very cute. Hopping between themes for each chapter and each one was fun! I’m glad the issues with Asami’s dependency on her brother were addressed, and she can move in a better direction. The pre-college anxiety is a little too accurate and if I’m remembering right about to rip me to tiny little shreds. If anyone can make long-distance work it would be these two.

Yep, Asami is still a little brat.

And the last chapter??? Why does it always have to be love or college??? Why does the main couple have to always deal with long distance near the end of a series in shojo manga!?!?

So the overnight bit was HILARIOUS, BUT what's with the second part of this volume? I was happy with what Haruna initially told Yoh, but I was so sad for both of them when she changed her mind at the end. There has to be a way for both of them to be happy!!!

The beginning of the volume finishes the "Yoh and Haruna go away alone finally, at Haruna's instigation (does she really know what that usually means?" arc, which is actually quite funny (the cram school arc added NOTHING to the story or the development between Haruna and Yoh). Yoh really shows that he knows Haruna well enough that her impulsive invitation was meant as just "spending time alone together and enjoying it" and not "let's improve our skinship undisturbed", and it turns into a totally typical conversation for those two, openly discussing what they expect from each other, both Haruna and Yoh (although of course Yoh is embarrassed, but by now he knows that this comes with loving Haruna - she won't get it if he doesn't spell it out). And then the gang all show up anyway, because Asami couldn't handle this turn of events after all.

In fact the next chapter keeps turning Asami into even more of a b*tch than she was in the initial taking away of Fumi from Haruna's first budding love impulses, because she thought her brother was spending too much time on coaching her. This time her spoiltness really catches up with her and she strikes desperately (with words, like she does) at Yoh and Haruna's closeness. On the positive side the two put her right in her place and while Yoh is quite open about Asami not being very lovable (nice underhanded punch in the stomach there) he also calms her down by pointing out that they'll always be brother and sister and no one can usurp that relationship (I can relate: I've got a great brother and used to be a b*tchy selfish sister when we were still school-aged; I can be very thankful that he's a forgiving sort of guy - I will say that I never sabotaged a relationship of his, heh). And you know, from my personal point of view: she doesn't deserve Yoh or Fumi. Maybe it's a feel-good message for the current and former b*tchy types, heh. They surely don't get much love otherwise in media.

I really thought the chapter with Mami should have come much earlier, she's the only one used as a deus-ex-machina almost continually. It's a nice cross of personal problems with a school-trip to Kyoto and uses that (and text-messages and pics) to great effect. Just lovely. I wish there had been more Mami/Asaoka ^^, those two could have run rings around each other.

The last chapter leads into the next volume and the positive home stretch: it's time for Yoh to decide what to do and Haruna's personality highlights her care for him and also a way of addressing the fact that Yoh hasn't thought about it much before and then he even finds something to become passionate about, but it's in Tokyo...

In celebration of Yoh's birthday, Haruna makes plans for just the two of them to go on an overnight trip. But poor Haruna doesn't even know what an overnight trip means to the rest of the world! When Asami is just shaking in her bones at the thought of her brother and Haruna having sex, she spills the beans to Haruna as to what an overnight trip really is! Later, it becomes clear that Asami is not only jealous of Haruna, but might be harboring other deep emotions and attachments as well... Then, Mami could reveal a secret that might shatter her and Haruna's friendship forever..! Or will it...? And lastly, when Yoh finds a college in Tokyo that he wants to study at, will him and Haruna be able to stand having a long-distance relationship? Will this ultimately end their relationship, or will it just make it even stronger?

So I really liked this volume, but... I just can't bring myself to give it more than three out of five stars. Hmm. Well. Maybe I was just comparing it to Bokura ga Ita too much, since this series now has now led up to many similarities to the middle of the Bokura ga Ita series (towards the end of this volume). And also, all I could think before it got to this point was... "ohh, here goes Asami again. Do people really think of me like that?" LOL. Okay, that wasn't /all/ I thought about. It's nice. I like that whenever Asami makes some big stink that it always makes me think about my life and the way I am leading it. But I have a feeling that nothing else big is going to happen with Asami.
P.S. Hehehehehehe... GAAOO!!

Three story lines here...

1) Haruna decides that for You's birthday, they should go on an overnight trip, not cluing in to the fact that most times, overnight = sex. I liked this - it was funny and sweet and so quintessentially Haruna.

2) Asami gets really jealous of Haruna and acts like the terrible person that she is. I thought this was pretty ridiculous. Not a fan.

3) A guidance counselor criticizes You for being unmotivated, and Haruna takes up arms in his defense! She helps him to look for a career path for his future, and though he finds one, the school he wants to go to is Tokyo! Not a finished story, I don't think, but I hated where it ended, so it's hard to comment. I did like the story up until that point. I'm hoping that the ending was just a dramatic ploy, or I'm going to be upset with Haruna.

I love this series. I can't wait to read the final book.

Asami is pissing me off though. She needs to cool out and stop being such a brat.

For a moment I thought that Mami might have been in love with Yoh. It was kind of boring that it was about some baseball thing, but I'm glad the two are still friends.

I'm just curious to find out what happens in the end.

I want Haruna and Yoh to be together, but I think Yoh should go to the school he wants. It might be hard, but I think it's selfish to try and get him motivated only to tell him not to go.

WHY ISN'T HARUNA ON THE COVER 🗣️

also lmfao i was so sure that mami's betrayal was the fact that she's in love w haruna 😭

"i'm sorry yoh, i got us married" "my dream is to be your wife" "i don't mind. everything i do is for you!" oh haruna the icon that you are 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

i love how easily yoh is able to read haruna. it makes me feel all giddy.

one thing abt me is that u could never make me like asami. her brother complex is so obvious, why is ur brother a standard for ur relationships ew 😭

Ha hahahaha lmao. J couldn't stop laughing. Poor Haruna really had no clue. But Asa... Omg. Get over yourself girl. Not everyone has to only love you. Yoh is your brother not your lover. (Kinda nasty).. And I fe sorry for Fumi too cause he truly cares for her. Hopefully thet find some peace and quite in the next volume... Gonna cry like crazy sense it's the last one.... :'(
