Desperate to escape her brutal brother-in-law, Angel Windsor flees from Philadelphia with her nephew and hires a handsome but dangerous half-Indian protector to escort them to California.

I’ve read almost all of Bobbi Smith’s books and this one is just as good. She has a knack for writing stories that go beyond the romance and bodice ripping. They have intrigue and villains and great supplementary characters to go along with them. And this book is no different!
A 445-page novel that keep you turning every page! Angle Windsor saw right thru Michael Marsden from early on. Years later, she figured out his secret and ran for her life as well as her nephew's life. Luckly, Angle was able to out-fox the master. An interesting story written during an interesting time in the late 19th century. This novel is the perfect example to never assume anything. Planning and executing your plans are important. Modern day scuba divers say, "Plan your dive and dive your plan".
Yes I gave this book 5 stars simply because for the price of one I got two HOT western men...which is what I like above everything else even a Duke...gasp!! I must say that my dream man is a combo of Blade and Steve (with a dash of William Darling from Teresa Medieros' "Nobody's Darling") I thought the story was good and it never dragged because of the two plots intertwined!!
Solid 4 stars. This is the first book I've read that had two heros and two heroines with parallel and intersecting story lines. I was confused at the beginning but sticking with it paid off. A little heavy on flowery euphemisms but a good read nonetheless.
I'm sorry, but I will never pick up another one of your books of my own volition. I wanted to like you; you are, after all, a best seller, but alas, it was not meant to be.
Sincerely, Jessie Roberts
P.S. I don't think you've ever actually met a nine year old.
It was qreat that it was a 2 in one story. It still needed something more.... it was a bit simple. Still it was qood and definately better than anything I could come up with.
