About the author

Nancy Loewen grew up on a farm in southwestern Minnesota, surrounded by library books and cats. She's published more than 140 books for children. FOUR TO THE POLE (co-authored with polar explorer Ann Bancroft) and THE LAST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN were Minnesota Book Award finalists. Her WRITER'S TOOLBOX series received a Distinguished Achievement Award from the Association of Educational Publishers.

Nancy lives in Saint Paul and has an MFA in Creative Writing from Hamline University. She has two adult children and a cat who sometimes bites her knees under the table as she writes.

Tulis Jurnal? Tentulah saya suka dan selalu melakukannya. Pernah juga belikan(tempah) jurnal khas untuk anak-anak agar mereka dapat menulis jurnal mereka sendiri (dan saya tahu apa yang mereka rasa/gulati sepanjang perjalanan usia mereka). Tapi biasalah, tidak konsisten dan selalu gagal.

Membaca buku ini, walaupun panduan untuk pemula (kanak-kanak), tetapi memberi input yang banyak. Jurnal bukan sahaja tempat menumpahkan emosi tentang apa yang dirasai berkaitan peristiwa yang dialami, tetapi juga boleh menjadi tempat membuat keputusan tertentu (tulis pilihan dan catatan keburukan/kebaikan), tulis puisi (ya, ya selalu buat), lukisan (yeay dah mula aktif melukis dengan Kak Emila), catatan harapan dan impian dan segala yang ingin kita catatkan sebagai sejarah kehidupan.

For young kids , this book could be very helpful. It gives you ideas, other than just telling about the day, that you could write about if you journal. It gives you tools--- observations emotions, prompts ,free writing, decision making, hopes and dreams, poetry, drawings, keepsakes and theme.

I thought the drawing page was cool.
