If you had followed and enjoyed the author's columns in the Pioneer Press (which I didn't), you might enjoy the content and style of this cookbook. As it is, I skipped over most of the "memory lane" stuff, which I would estimate was about 70% of the book.
I did take a look at the recipes and quite a few stuck out to me as ones I would want to try. I'll give a couple of them a shot but I probably won't keep the book.

The newspaper tidbits were often interesting - but I only found one recipe I would acually make... :(
