Since childhood I’ve had a fascination with the history of Lighthouses and Safely To Shore America’s Lighthouses quenched my thirst of curiosity about lighthouses in America.

Safely To Shore America’s Lighthouses was an enjoyable and enlightening read with a wealth of historical and scientific information. The illustrations were a disappointment. I liked that author Rynbach included web sites to allow for further exploration of lighthouses.
