It’s Naoto’s turn in the spot light. She talks to Bishop, the blind priest, about finding both the person with the black sword that she’s searching for and Heine, whom she thinks can lead her to the bottom levels of the city to find the person. Bishop cautions her that sometimes the past should be left there. She does catch up with Heine (who does his best to avoid her since he’s frightened by women, or at least extremely avoidy) and Badou as they go talk to Granny Liza about more jobs. Some of Granny’s ‘boys’ (genetic mutants like Heine and Granny) show up and bullets start flying. Then the hard core twins, two little girls who have weapons built into their bodies, arrive and everything goes to hell. They keep calling Heine their big brother which spooks him.

Fu-sama (potentially the person Naoto is looking for) is dispatched to bring back the twins. By the end Naoto is wondering if she bite off too much, especially in the light of how much punishment the twins and Heine can take and survive. There is another graphic glimpse into Heine’s tragic past. There’s no doubt about it. This is graphic stuff. However, unlike most ultra violent manga, there is a plot to this and a compelling storyline to go with all the bullets and blood.

To me, the second volume of this manga continues to fail to meet my expectations. I can see that it has all the ingredients of a good manga, even a manga I may like. It has cool character designs, (attempts) to deal with darker themes and some interesting action scenes. It just feels like it was tied together with cliches that I no longer appreciate and writing and revelations I felt fell flat. I think there are better manga out there to read.

Два слова - дизайн персонажей.
Спустя пару недель после прочтения уже смутно помню, что в этом томе происходило содержательно, но зато ощущение легкого благоговения перед персонажами осталось. Кажется, я буду читать эту серию до победного конца только ради них (один взгляд, и я безнадежно влюблен). Я обычно мало внимания обращаю на такие вещи - ты можешь плохо рисовать, но зато расскажи классную историю и т.д. Но с псами другой случай :с Остановите сюжетное развитие - ну и ладно, главное завозите персов полюбоваться.

Бадо по-прежнему тащит весь юмор. Историю продвигает Наото, что в поисках владельца идентичного меча. Хайне посвящен один короткий, но травматичный флэшбек. Эти трое ненадолго объединяются в команду, дабы противостоять паре генно-модифицированных близнецов, мелькавших еще в первом томе (Локи, Ноки? Люки, Нуки? Люки, Ноки?) Oh boy. Насколько же эти мелкие уродцы раздражают, слов нет. И большая часть тома посвящена стычке с ними :с Очень надеюсь, что они надолго выпадут из обоймы.
В следующем томе обещают рассказать о прошлом Хайне. Учитывая зашкаливающую жестокость всей серии, можно догадаться, что все будет очень и очень грустно.

The mad twins Luki and Noki get a chance to shine! That is, to do violence to people. But they're so /cute/ doing it! Naoto also gets more plot in this book; her story is the driver.

Mroczna i brutalna. Klimat gangów, podziemia i barku skrupułów. Świat i państwa właściwie nie istnieją.
Gwałtowa i interesująca, a przedewszytkim jest dla mnie świetną odskocznią, bo jest totalnie inna niż to co ostatnio czytałam.

I don't really get a good sense of story structure but GEEZZZZ is the art PRETTY. Heine's design got better in this book.
