Mistress of Green Tree Mill by Elisabeth McNeill (Audiobook Read On Everand app)
At 11 years old, Lizzie Mudie’s life was changed forever when she lost her mother in a tragic accident. Later unexpectantly especially for the time, she inherited a rundown mill. Many expected for her to sell it immediately but instead she learned the business and ran it herself.
To be successful at business especially when many wanted to see her fail, took many sacrifices but I guess she has to ask the same question most of us do.. is everything we did worth it in the end?

This novel was not nearly as good as the other of McNeil’s that I’ve read.
