Why I decided to read this book:I first saw it on the shelf in the library and picked it up,I decided to give it a shot as the cover looked interesting.

This book completes the 'Book written by a New Zealander' slot in my bingo board. When I picked it up, I read the back of the book and saw the column 'About the Author' and found out she was from New Zealand.

My favourite quote from this book is:'You lot will follow my lead at all times and should I fall, which I very much doubt, the Samurai will lead you.If he hasn't already fallen.' This quote was one of the many quotes I picked out as my favourites. This one stood out the most as it brought light hearted humour in the middle of a serious moment.

A character or setting in this book that was interesting to me is the main character,Zachary "Zac" Michael Matthews. He literally goes from zero to hero in three days and nights.Following his father and grandfather's footsteps, and becoming what is known as the next Keeper of Secrets.

Type of text: Novel

I liked the way the story was told because it showed the view of 6 different people going through the same situation and the views were not confusing.
I like the way this text has a completely different storyline to any other book I have read.
The character that interested me in this story was Tobias because the author didn't expalin his background as much as she did for the other characters making him a bit confusing.

I recommend this story to people who like adventure novels.
Also because it has an interesting twist at the end.
