This title in the acclaimed Michelin Green Guide series is an indispensable guide to the natural and the cultural attractions of the French Riviera - the mild winters and hot summers, the glamorous atmosphere of the coastal resorts and the splendid bathing beaches, the quiet Mediterranean charm of the hill villages set among olive groves, the snow-capped mountain peaks for summer walking or winter skiing - all under the clear bright skies which have proved so attractive to artists and tourists alike.
I love Michelin Guides, but I think I will try to buy hard copy from now on. The problem is, that I can never have enough guide books. When I was in Paris this past spring, I bought hard copies of several great guide books, but they were so heavy to schlep around! As I get older, the inconvenience of using guidebooks online (especially the wonderful Michelin maps included in all of their guide books is overshadowed by carrying around several kilos of guides (Pariswalks, Companion Guide for Paris, etc.) for miles around the city. So I guess I will have to cope with online guidebooks after all! In addition to this excellent guide, I bought the Lonely Planet Guide for Provence, the Rough Guide, Rick Steven's... you get the idea all online on my Kindle. If I had gotten them in hard copy, I would have had to pay overweight for my luggage!
