I just re read this. I looked at the eared pages and reminded myself of some of the fun things I did with the kids. They are getting to an age where it is harder to find things to do with them. My eldest has decided not to talk to me and so the waiting game begins.

My youngest still does things when he feels like it or we go somewhere different. Lately, we have begun to do things together again. Eating out and games are the most popular. While this book is geared towards younger folk, it reminded me of what some of the engagement was about and what is working now.

It was a nice memory to read and now I have a few ideas such as going back to chess, crokinole and cribbage. Maybe starting to get Evan in the kitchen. We are on our way now. It is just a little push to make it work better.
