Mid-to-late 90s academic writing, precise but not impenetrable. Small type and dense content took me a while to get through the slim book, though. The writer's project is to critique and expand the analysis of race within queer theory. What initally made me pick it up was the references to queer zines in chapter 4, Gloria E.
