My first visit to Newfoundland was Aug 2015. I knew I had to go back. That visit was six days...too short...but the impact of the people and place left me yearning for more. I've re-read this book and still want to return. Newfoundland is a beautiful place and this book truly takes you there.
My grandfather and great aunt was interviewed for this book. I found a copy few years ago and treasure it so now they have both passed away. My mothers family is from parsons harbour and most have now passed. Some very heartbreaking stories and pictures are wonder but heartbreaking as well.
