From the writer and illustrator of the popular books Piglet and Mama and Piglet and Papa comes the latest installment about Piglet and her special granny.
Piglet loves her granny. She’s been waiting all day for her to visit. Why hasn’t she come? Cow, Horse, Duck, and Sheep all think she’ll be here soon—but what is taking her so long? In this heartwarming barnyard tale, Piglet’s story will resonate with any child who has ever had to wait for someone they love.
For all children who love spending time with their grandmother, this warmly illustrated book is the perfect story to share and read together.

Very sweet book about cherished moments and fun times shared with Grandma, whilst waiting for Grandma to arrive for a play. My 5-year-old has a great relationship with her grandma, and similarly they also have lots of fun together, so she identified well with it. I liked that it was simple enough that she was able to read this on her own with minimal assistance, whilst enjoying the thoughtful subject matter.
Simple story with some repetition, the little pig is waiting for Granny to come visit. All the farm animals try to assure him that Granny is coming, but he's just impatient because he loves her so much. The illustrations aren't my favorite - messy pencil drawings with watercolor splotches added in - but they don't detract from the story. Definitely suitable for story time!
Gorgeous book with the wonderful kind of illustrations you expect from Stephen Michael King. Kids will love all the different farm animals they meet, and will relate to the fun activities they’ve enjoyed with a grandparent.
This is a very cute and simple story about extended family relationships. It is easy to read for beginning readers and it has lots of repetition for younger children, too. It's a fun book to read aloud (especially the ending.)
A lovely story of a wee piglet waiting on a visit from his or her Granny, who is a very adventurous spirit. When Granny finally arrives they have a wonderful, slippery adventure. Simple and pretty illustrations.
A third of the way into this book, I expected it to be about grief and remembering with fondness all the lessons Granny taught Piglet. But it ended with a surprise, albeit delayed, visit. I think my idea would have worked much better... maybe I'll have to write it.
