About the author

Polly Young-Eisendrath, Ph.D., is a Jungian analyst, psychologist, and psychotherapist in private practice. She is Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Vermont and the founder and director of the Institute for Dialogue Therapy. She is past president of the Vermont Association for Psychoanalytic Studies and a founding member of the Vermont Institute for the Psychotherapies. Polly is also the chairperson of Enlightening Conversations, a series of conversational conferences which bring together participants from the front lines of Buddhism and psychoanalysis. Polly has published sixteen books, as well as many chapters and articles, that have been translated into more than twenty languages, including The Self-Esteem Trap: Raising Confident and Compassionate Kids in an Age of Self-Importance> and Love Between Equals: Relationship as a Spiritual Path>.

Some of the ideas are outdated, but that shouldn't stop you from picking this up if you are clinician working with couples. Jungian ideas are very popular today, and for good reason. Our society has entered into a state of absurdity, and symbolic language is the only way out.

Книга по юнгианской терапии семейных пар. Первая половина книги классная, яркие образы «ведьмы» и «героя», объяснения почему люди отыгрывают эти комплексы.

Очень здорово раскрываются проблемы, которые иначе можно назвать просто занятостью или закрытостью.

Яркие моменты:
- тк именно женщины занимаются воспитанием детей, то со временем оолоч жендины обретает властные тона. Женщина одновременно и властная, и ранимая, и это конфликт
- у женщины в состоянии ведьмы и неразвитом анимусе (да простите меня спецы в этом вопросе за формулировки), может в качестве авттритетов быть только мать или другие женщины. Они идентифицируют себя с ними и делают аналогично «моя мать так делала», им сложно найти свое мнение
