She's written twenty books (e.g., The Accidental Virgin and The Girlfriend Curse), and contributed to dozens of publications including the New York Times, Self, Allure, Glamour, Parenting and Good Housekeeping. Her memoir, Thin Is the New Happy, about overcoming bad body image after 30 years of dieting and self-loathing, was recently described as "Rueful, zestful and surprisingly funny," by the New York Times.
This was pleasantly funny. You can really tell the authors work for magazines by the way they write. There was some good advice in here, although a little outdated, but it is 28 years old after all.
I had to write a review since there are not any. This book was so much fun! Utterly hilarious while also being educational.
I loved the witty banter between the women. And you really do learn alot too although the reason for the five rating is because of the writers.
Somehow they take a self help book and make it, not only interesting and educational but darned hilarious too. It is one of the warmest and most witty books I've read an I hope if someone is on the fence about reading it they see this review and pick up a copy. Great fun and so well written. Happy to give it five stars.
