Totally adorable schoolboy romance; not at all what I would expect from Shinba Rize, who usually leans toward the more silly, slapstick comedy (*cough*AijinIncubus*cough*). The kind of slow, tentative feel of their developing friendship (and Umehara's feelings for Mizue) just made me all 胸キュン the whole time I was reading it; almost like it was a Takanaga Hinako story? ...And there's this thing with Umehara sewing on a button that totally made me swoon. (I know, a button doesn't sound swoon-worthy. But it is, trust me.) Okay, Mizue needed to be kicked once or twice, and I felt slightly cheated that there was no extra chapter at the end (isn't that like, a requirement now?), but still, I loved it to death.
