My version was printed in the year 2000. As with another gardening book of mine from the late 90s, the map of hardiness zones is out-of-date.
Otherwise this book is a great reference guide with plants listed alphabetically by the Latin name with common names listed as well as description and other essential information about the plant.
At the end of the book is a listing of plants grouped by use, soil type and other characteristics.

I have used this book so much. I take it with me when I go to garden centres or nurseries. it has a simple description of each plant with information on conditions needed, propagation & pruning. There are also some great lusts in the back such as lie-pollen plants, rabbit-proof plants & bog garden plants. Highly recommended.
