A fun read about a bear who comes into a cabin at summer camp and hops on the bed. The rhyme of all the things he could've, should've done reads like the activities offered to the kids. Surprise ending that causes giggles... Favorite page: the bear plucking his banjo, which is also the cover illustration.
Grade: 1-2 Genre: Fantasy Unique feature: This was a cute and funny book! The pictures were really well illustrated and I think young students would get a hoot out of this book! I also really liked that the book rymed
So much fun! What a silly bear. He really should have knocked or done all the other great ideas the other kids were doing; but he just wanted to be in bed.
Definitely a story to reread a few times over. Illustrations were perfectly goofy.
my K students loved this book so much they wanted me to read it again (immediately) so I did. It's a great rhyming book that's easy to read with a funny surprise ending.
I loved, loved, loved this book. The rhythm was fantastic! It felt almost like a song. The only reason I took off a star was because of the last page. While I think it was great and has an audience, it may have to be changed for some.
I'm mad it didn't cross my path until after my bear storytime, but I will find a reason to read it!
Funny book about a bear who jumps, dances, and eventually leaves a surprise in an irritated little girl's bed. Nice read aloud for a group of children.
