Like the first book in this series, the characters from the series "Hot in the City" show up here, and the secondary character there is the main character here. For those who've read the Hot series, you know who Carter is, and for those who haven't, he is a construction worker and neighbors with Marc and Diana (Sin City), whom he had a threesome with.
He's got it bad for the hot lady cop and she just won't give him the time of the day. Erin doesn't want to be involved in a relationship because she doesn't want to be distracted by love. There's a lot of kinky sex, my favorite F/F scenes with F/F/M, and M/F/M. For a short story, the author was able to infuse love between the two characters. It was gallant of Carter to give Erin a choice, he's not one of those cavemen other women find appealing. His dominant nature isn't really the annoying type. I like Erin because she's an alpha female, and I can't blame her fears, but if it weren't for the slip up, she wouldn't have realize she's wasting her life away without love.
The sex scenes were steamy and smutty as ever and I don't mind. For those of you looking for a story with depth and the works, you'll be disappointed with this one. It's just fun and sexy, a take on the wild side of life that most women want to experience.

Erin won't let herself become involved in a relationship, believing it will distract her from doing her job as a cop. She's messed up and really needs help, but Carter plans to take her control away sexually to make her see the light. Premise is out there, the sex is erotic, bondage games.

This would be one of those hot little quickies that has some pretty hot sex, but not much in the way of plot. I really need more story because it is hard to be sold on the romance and relationship they form b/c it is very "wham bam thank you ma'am"...meh, unless that's what you are going for.

Ceritanya so so aja sih tentang Erin dan Carter yg suka main borgol2 an dan selalu aneh, heroine nya suka kalo pasangan nya menikmati uhuk2 dengan temannya saat trum ..yah gitu deh, lumayan buat bacaan di saat2 tegang,..this one exactly can cure it ..LOL

It was alright - lots of sex scenes, very little character development. The reasoning for the heroine's desire to not have a relationship rang false, and the way it resolved was quick and just as false. The sex was kinda hot, but I guess I need a bit more foreplay (and story) with my smut.

I liked it. It was cute and fast paced. Character development was good for its length. Only complaint was about the first 'scene' with h and H and the way in which it was brought about - sorry if this doesn't make sense, but trying not to give anything away.
