A little too much intrigue and betrayal in this gasp from the past. Lots of work to run a show though and this story shows it. Finally can move this one off my shelves.
I'm a quilter, and a mystery about quilts seemed like an ideal choice. But this has to be one of the worst books I've ever read. Protagonists are introduced, then dropped. The writing is stiff and clumsy. The ending was obvious to me, and I got frustrated with the characters for not getting it. The PoV switches around. It reads like the first draft of a first book.
The quilt show depicted in the book seemed fairly realistic at least.
As a quilter I love stories about other quilters. Throw in a good mystery o r a murder and you have a good story. This author described the quilts in detail and color. My kind of a cozy read.
