PM Traditional Tales and Plays retell classic tales in a simplified language and form that children can understand. This is a picture book retelling of Aesop’s fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
A shepherd boy yells for help several times out of boredom. Then when a wolf actually attacks the flock, no one from the village responds to his cries for help, and most of the sheep are killed.
Moral: If you repeatedly lie, then no one will believe you when you finally tell the truth.
A script for the play version of the story is included at the back of the book.
