Would you buy a used time machine from this man?
Mr. Talbot has taken the Werewolf Club to London! Unfortunately, they made the trip in Uncle H. G. Talbot's unreliable time-and-space machine, and they've arrived in 1890 London -- where it might be a tad difficult to buy the 212 double-A batteries they need for the machine to get them home. Werewolves and a vampire travel via a space/time machine back to 1890, help Sherlock Holmes save the crown jewels, meet Queen Victoria all in the space of one short book by Daniel Pinkwater. If you know me at least a little you'll know that Pinkwater is my favorite author so it's no surprise that I loved this book - probably 4.5 stars but I'll round down because it was shorter than I would have liked.

Recommended highly.
