Leila James takes on gorgeous blue-eyed developer Brandan Walters, who has plans for the neighborhood around her new cafe, and will stop at nothing, not even seduction, to make him see things her way. Original.

This book is definitely a hot read. If you're looking for smut like I was when I bought it, it's cool. If you're looking for depth as well as hot steamy romance, you may be disappointed. I was able to look past it. Two stories with a title like "Scream My Name"? If you're looking for major developments that aren't erotic then this isn't the book for you. 1)I loved that it was an interracial couple. 2)I'm all for whirlwind romances but they were a little rushed. As a reader, I wanted a little more story as well as the sex. It could have been longer but then some people may not have been generous enough to consider it a novella. I was entertained and the pages turned quickly so this is all good by me.
WOW!!! What a hot steamy book. Who's name do I need to scream!! Leila and Branden I love the chemistry. Danita and Hawk had me squeezing my thighs together.
It was rather difficult for me to get into this book. I did find myself casting it aside numerous times, until I finally just went ahead and finished it because it was due back to the library. I know it's catergorized as erotic romance but it should have been just erotic. I didn't find any romance what-so-ever, just sex.
The story goes something like this: Leila and Brandan meet and instant attraction. Leila agrees to go out with Brandan's BFF instead of him and Brandan gets upset and beats his chest like a caveman. (lol) Leila realizes the error of ways and has sex with Brandan. They have lots of hot, sweaty sex, which equals love. Now they get married and live happily ever after.
Plot? What plot? I thought the plot was the sex! Could it have been Brandan trying to buy out her family diner? Iread so little about that, that I figured it was just fluff to fill the gaps in between the sex.
The last half of the book was devoted to Danita and Jarred aka Hawk. The had sex upon meeting each other right there in the diner. So that's where my journey with this booked ended. There was no point in continuing further since I knew how it would play out; more sex, falling in love, happily ever after. This one I don't believe even attempted a disguise of a plot.
I was really disappointed because I really enjoyed Big Spankable Asses, which this author has a novella included in. But then again, my favorite novella in this collection was written by Angie Daniels. Now after reading this one, I'm feeling a little regretful for buying two of her other books instead of checking them out from the library as well.
This is my first book by Ms. Terry, and even though I rated it just average at 3 stars, I plan to try more of her interracial love stories soon.
I must admit, however, this book wasn't very good. I have never read a book with so many typos and proofreading errors! Normally I don't rate down for it because it is often not the author's fault, but in this case it was so prevalant that it interrupted the story and made me question the product delivered to the editor in the first place. I found myself reading then rereading just to figure out what was wrong with the sentence or paragraph, and some times this happened every couple of pages! I also wonder if this book was first published as two separate novellas as there were two distinct love stories with "catch-you-up" verbage in between. This made it awkward but, hey, two love stories for the price of one is always a good deal!
And oh, the love stories! Ms.T describes really delish males, and I have a special weakness for Native American men that she must have known about when she developed Hawk. Sigh. Her female leads are also very cool ladies that I emphathized with and rooted for. The story takes place in my hometown of San Antonio so when Leila and Brandan had so much fun attending a Spurs basketball game, I was jealous that I don't have a boyfriend with VIP seats like Lee did! Seriously though, I was impressed with her attention to the psychology of the character's actions, such as Hawk's "giver" syndrome (without her explanation, I wouldn't have thought there was a "bad" side to it!). Most of all, I enjoyed her "love wins all" plots. Even though the plots were thin. So here's hoping that Ms. Terry grows as an author so that I can read more love stories!
I'm pretty new to the two novellas within a novel concept, but I feel the author would have benefited from just writing one novel and doing it well...
Story #1: The story line was intriguing with the twist of the young woman desperately trying to save her diner from conglomerates who were trying to buy the land and then falling in love with the conglomerate... The problem was that the author would jump around the timeline with no real transition. Ending = Lame.
Story #2: Started off far more promising than the first as far as detail and eroticism. This brought up the ever cliche of love, or lust, at first sight. There were a lot of great sexy details and then towards the end things kind of snowballed. Next thing I knew we were more than a week later with no transition. In the last 5 pages we went from Danita breaking up with our stud to them saying they were in the long haul...
I feel that when any kind of romantic novel ends ultimately with a marriage its a cop out to poor literary skills from the author. The title of this book and the comments on the back boast things like, "Warning: This is a really hot book", but in the end it felt like a "room temperature cup of tea" book.
Loved this book. Hot steamy romance that is so much fun to watch unfold. Lust at first sight and then everything falls into place like it is supposed to. This is a must read as it is so exciting. I couldn't put it down. I love hot, steamy and sexy books. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This book is nothing short of sexy! If you want sex, steam, and erotic scenes you have it here. Both men are damaged, but the ladies that claim their hearts are strong and sassy. You will enjoy the book if you like steamy hot sex!
A very erotic book! With a good story made better with the love scenes. This may be too erotic for some readers who don't like explicit descriptions of sex so fair warning. BUT, if you have a great imagination when it comes to every adult's favorite pastime you'll be okay. I didn't feel like I was reading smut, just healthy explorations between two adults. This actually contains two stories blended together. Boy oh boy the second one was ..........
It was okay. 3.5 for not keeping me bored but I felt it had too much sex scenes and not enough plot. I love erotica but the story line has to be very convincing and flow. All they did was have sex and a few problems thrown in with sex as the solution.
This book is composed of two novellas. They are connected and characters are woven throughout both stories. As with all of the Kimberly Kaye Terry books I've read to date, the couples are interracial. I liked both of the novellas-book. Leila Leila is attempting to stop the sale of her resturant given to her by her aunt from Brandon Walters and his partners. The story starts with tension and continues througout. Sex scenes were 3.5 chili peppers. Ms. Terry pushes beyond the typical sexual activity with Brandon fisting Leila. I've read "Design of a Lifetime" and many of those elements were also in this story. The female leads have the same scent, peppermint, wear their hair the same way, loc'd, etc. I was not sure how much time elaspses between Brandon telling Leila she will not be attending the party with Mateo. I really enjoyed Carmelicious and Mateo. I want Mateo to have his own story. I think Mateo and Carmelicious would be a hoot together. Talk about fireworks. And of course Carmelicious could not say a third of what she says in the book on the actual radio, but it was fun reading it. Hawk and Danita, are introduced. Mysticism was a part of this story and I really liked it. Mateo reads her palm and really does have "the gift." Leila hears her aunt's voice.
Danita I enjoyed this story also. The tension in this story came from Hawk not sharing his self on an emotional level with Danita. He starts out by not fully explaining that he was also a lawyer. Danita thought he was a worker in Leila's resturant. This story seems to move faster than Leila's. The sex scenes were just as hot though if not hotter. I would give them 4 chili peppers. There is a threesome in this story. Problems I had with the story. Is Hawk the only name used for Native American character's in romance novels? I've read three different stories by three different authors and the only named used is Hawk. Rather boring. Another problem on page 167 is what is Danita eating her sandwich off of? On page 159, Hawk removes it. On page 177 Danita is eating a muffin. How did she get it? The bathtub scene on page 239. I could not figure out how they were sitting. Does he place her on his lap facing him and then seems to have her on his lap with her back to him. This story had more errors than this previous one. I would have assumed the theme of mysticism would have continued in this story. Especailly with the presence of Native Americans. None. If you really like Camelicious from the previous story, you'll get more of her in this story. I enjoyed Leila's story more than Danita's.
This book was a thinly disguised pornographic novel. I found myself skimming past the sex scenes hoping to find a story in there somewhere.
I was not able to identify with these women who had differing values than mine, who would have with someone without breaking it off with the previous fella. These men (I don't think of them as heroes) do not listen when they should. They think they know better than the women what ought to be going on. The women have little self-control over their libidos. It is amazing they find themselves able to commit to the new loves.
Its weird how you can be so completely attracted to someone and as time goes on you start to fall in love with that person. Its even better when the feeling is mutual. Not only is the book about sex, but its about falling in love when you least expect it. Meeting someone who makes you better and who you cant imagine life without.
My first time reading an erotica. It was really hot and steamy. But at the same time it was a sweet story. I wasn't a fan of how the author just stopped the first story and created a new story about her best friend. But the first story ended well enough and wasn't too short.
Scream My Name contains two stories. The first story is about Leila. The second story is about Danita. I didn't find Leila's story that steamy. I felt it was what I would read in a basic romance novel; just with spicier language. Danita's story was much spicier and I enjoyed it more. This is the second book I've read by Kimberly Kaye Terry. The first book was Just Like Candy. I thought it was steamy from start to finish. I'm looking forward to reading more of Kimberly's novels.
This was a two for one type deal. You got a chance to experience the erotic escapades of two couples. Both discovering unbridled passion. There could have been more of a plot behind all of the sexual interludes but overall erotic was the goal.
I found Leila and Brandan to be hot but when it got to Danita (a work friendship) and Hawk (personal childhood friendship). Now, I found that loving to be off the chain. It sent me looking for mine.
Leila's story wasn't so bad, but Danita's story had no business being a short story. It would have been a much better novel if the story of both hawk and Leila were told simultaneously as they both found their happily ever after....
there is no story here... this was crude... when will i find an IR romance story that actual has character... i think i ll be bypassing this writer....
