Trains have largely replaced wagons on the old Oregon Trail. But an enigmatic invitation reaches Thomas Malcomson from eccentric (and deceased) Uncle William. A treasure hunt or a wild goose chase? To escape the ruckus in Kansas City raised by an old gravedigger, Thomas, Charlie, and Cally decide to find out--and discover in Idaho both treasure and trials.
I fell in love with the characters and the storyline book 1 and my love continued into Book 2.
I would highly recommend reading them in order, it isn't a must, but you lose so much of the back story of the characters lives if you do not have the information in book 1.
It is just fun and heartbreaking and heartwarming and sad and awesome and very historically accurate. It is one of the best historical fiction books that I have read in a long time!!
I won this book in a Goodreads Giveaway, along with book 1! Lucky me! This series has been great! Book 2 made me cry! I'm off to buy book 3 now! Can't wait to start reading it tonight! I highly recommend it! Thank you so much for my copy
