This book made me want to run out to the nearest bead shop and create some necklaces using the semi-precious stones highlighted in this book. It was a little light on instructions, however, as it assumed that the reader had at least a basic, and in some cases a more advanced, understanding of beading. So, if you're a beginner beader, use this for inspiration but get yourself another book about the basics.
This book does presume a certain level of proficiency at stringing beads, That said, It had really gorgeous designs. Interesting color combination and I thought I knew it all about semi precious stones. This inspires me to take all the ones I rarely wear and re-mstring them with some different accent beads. particularly the odd pearls and boring old 6 and 8mm rounds. Jazz 'em up!
