~And yes I am logging this book as I studied for Step 2 CK (May 28th Test Date) ~

The classic. The essential. You'll be hard pressed to find a medical student who hasn't used this at all, whether they love it or hate it. I focused on the high-yield facts chapter (still a decent length) during my dedicated study period, because I simply did not have time to review the entire text, but did refer to the book throughout my clerkships as I studied for shelf exams. Full of mnemonics, treatments, physiology, tables. The ethics chapter is probably underrated for how tricky those questions can be and how much of the exam they can make up. Comprehensive, but dense. Maybe less helpful than First Aid for Step 1, which was more rote memorization and less application / integration of concepts.

Very important book of reference for any one studying for their Step 2 or Level 2 exam. Many grammar and typing errors throughout, none that dramatically affect understanding or content. I recommend this highly if you are a visual learner with words and a diagram/algorithmic centered mind.
