This was a quick read and a cute, feel-good celebrity romance. Blake and Laney were my favorite kinds of characters—he’s a cinnamon roll hero, and she’s strong and independent. I loved their growth arc as he worked at becoming more real and not worrying about his public image, and she learned to trust and stop running away from things after being hurt in a past relationship. The author did a great job of conveying their relatable fears, and that a relationship that’s going to succeed will take a lot of time and effort—not an instant fix. Loved the music and movie references, and I always appreciate a romance that is swoony while keeping it clean!

This book starts out with a first time meet-cute. A movie star and a cute Lyft driver and sparks fly. The characters are forced to spend the day together and start falling for each other right away. Some fun adventures and flirting along the way. I had a hard time connecting with either of the main characters and started skimming through the pages. If you like sweet romance check this one out!

It is always a treat to read a debut novel from an author and I quite enjoyed this one from @authornoelledavenport.

This novel is about Laney a small town girl from a small town outside of Salt Lake City and a Los Angeles Celebrity Blake.

I loved the banter between the two and how well Noelle captured the very individual personalities of not only the main characters but the supporting ones as well. I love that we get to go through the journey of watching Laney Campbell brave diving into the game of love once again after getting hurt before. And that we get to see the true human behind the celebrity status of Blake Logan.

I also loved that in this novel it wasn't just a quick they meet, fall in love and everything just clicks into place. But you get to read about the journey they have to take together in order to blend a small town girl's life with that of a Hollywood A-list actor.

This would be a PG lvl 1 intimacy rating with just some swoony kisses and cuddling on the couch.

There is 1 swear word and 2 uses of the word "hell".

Trigger warning: Laney loses a friend to cancer and she is a pediatric oncology nurse. So you definitely are immersed in that world.

What a fun celebrity romance between a small-town girl and a movie star! Such a unique plot with lots of forced proximity and chemistry between Blake and Laney with so many sweet moments.

I enjoyed the storyline very much but at times it was hard to follow who was speaking because the pov shifted so often, sometimes multiple times within a chapter without a page break or indication that it was changing. I have also discovered my heart can only take one break-up scene per book!! But I enjoyed the story enough despite that that I would definitely pick up another book by the author.

Laney and Blake are made for each other! This was a fun and fresh take on strangers to lovers.

It was so fun to see characters fall for each other almost immediately, and then later face challenges of circumstance.

Blake is adorable and super swoon-worthy. Delaney is a fierce and fun female lead that gives Blake a down-to-earth quality he desperately needs.

And wait until you read the scene where she walks in on him shirtless snd shaving!! Who knew shaving could be so 🔥🔥😍😍

You’re a super famous movie star (think Captain America) and you take a Lyft to your hometown from the airport and you immediately fall for your ex nurse Lyft driver. Why? What is it about her that draws you to her? I knew why she was interested in him. He was super famous and hot. The book didn’t do a good job of explaining what it was that attracts him to her. She was beautiful? Why? He’s an actor who has been around the most beautiful people in the world. How was she different and special? Insta love / insta attraction always leaves me a bit confused! It had cute moments, was a cute concept and I liked both characters well enough, but their relationship started so abruptly that it kinda lost me and I couldn’t invest in their story.
