Jack Heath wrote his debut novel, The Lab, in secondary school and sent it to a publisher at age seventeen. He's now the award-winning author of forty novels for adults and children, including the international bestsellers Hangman, The Wife Swap and 300 Minutes of Danger. His books have been translated into ten languages, optioned for TV and adapted for film. He lives on Ngunnawal/Ngambri country in Canberra, Australia, with his wife, their children, several chickens, a few fish and a possum named Oreo.
Episodic chapters - which link up in an amazing way - on how 20 brave kids survive 20 dangerous situations with incredible out-of-the-box thinking (how do they do it?). They have 10 minutes to escape their potentially fatal situation - which equates to 10 minutes of reading time for even the most reluctant reader! Jack Heath is an incredible author, and his books are justifiably super popular. This is a great addition to the 'Minutes of Danger' series, which gives bite-sized, cliff-hanger reading to kids who just don't want to read anymore.
I think this is a good book because it is more than one story, it has many different stories in it where people are in danger and they have to find a way out of it. In the story all of the characters that are relavent are related. They have different things happen to them but one they have saved themselves they get the next person in danger. I would recommend this book to people around 10-15 years old, that love thrillers and action packed novels. I would also recommend this to someone who is tired of reading longs book and want a bit of a change. Overall this is a very good book.
