Determined to keep him from foolishly spending his hard-earned savings, D.W. hides the bank—until she learns that he has been saving up for her birthday present!

I love the art, and Arthur is one of my favorite shows & book series.

But... I don't get why everyone (Especially the parents) are so cool with D.W. literally stealing from her brother and stressing him out like that. It's wrong. It's not funny. And I never understood why everyone just lets D.W. get away with everything. :/

My children and I read this for bedtime. It’s a good book to show kids that it can be rewarding to save instead of always spending. Also, D.W is hilarious…
