The Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway were amazing, with athletes coming from all over the world to compete against one another. Brynn Peterson, a figure skater, even won a gold medal... which would be great... if she remembered doing any of it.

After an accident in Norway leaves her without three months' worth of memories, Brynn finds herself scrambling to try and collect the scattered pieces of what happened in Norway. It's especially important since Brynn is pregnant with no recollection of who the father could be.

When her father and uncle receive an offer to be the head coaches of the Seattle Stallions, Brynn and the rest of her family tag along. Brynn figures she can still coach other skaters and get ready for the baby. Everything appears to be looking up...she even starts to date the sweetheart alpha goalie on the team.

Then, the team signs a new center, and everything changes. Brynn doesn't know why Nash keeps glaring at her, but she's never met him before in her life.

Alex "Nash" Nashtos made a mistake when he was in Norway. After getting caught up in a pretty omega's surprise heat, he is left alone in a hotel room with nothing to show for their time together, other than the lingering scent of gingerbread.
Now, four months later, she reappears and acts like she's never met him before in her life...oh, and she's pregnant and he's pretty sure that the baby is his.

Unfortunately, Brynn & Nash's relationship drama is the least of their worries. A stalker has locked his sights on Brynn, and he isn't going to give up on her easily.

On Thin Ice is a MFM omegaverse romance featuring Ice Sports, primarily Ice Hockey & Figure Skating (though some of the other sports will pop up as well).

Very sweet. There were a lot of cute moments and lines I could appreciate in the story but there was nothing that blew me away. There was little development between things happening. It felt more like going from point A to point B. They were strangers, then they were dating, then they were one big happy family. It was all very mundane and boring. It was still a sweet story though.

DNF at 18%.

This setup isn't working for me. It's not believable that he'd go from almost throwing up to bungee jumping. Or from a night club in a city to bungee jumping in a canyon. I'm not a fan of the 5 min between getting drunk to getting naked or the not having contraception/condoms before having sex with a total stranger.

Or the going into heat in 5 mins and "needing sex".

This isn't my cuppa.

Ok. Just read the synopsis and this makes even less sense. How can she have an accident and not remember who she had sex with? Didn't her friend take a picture of his license? I don't care enough to investigate but what!?

Such a sweet story. I did have moments where I was hooked and moments where the story felt a bit slow. There was also times where I forgot that this was an omegaverse, which isn’t at all a bad thing, but I think maybe because the omegaverse aspect wasn’t all that in your face in this story.
One thing I could have done without though, was the stalking portion of the book. I just didn’t care for it all that much. But I loved Brynn, Dutch and Nash together. They were made for each other. Dutch was my absolute favorite!!

Omegaverse is truly a comfort genre for me. However, I’ve never read a sports romance before! Calliope did very well with this story and I felt like I was on the edge of my seat with many parts of this story. The twists and turns were amazing. I can’t wait to meet the next heroine.

Loved:
-baby surprise
-winter sports
-mfm pairing was fun and fresh, especially for OV
-good blend of personalities (Dutch is so sweet)
-strong men w real vulnerable emotions

Didn’t love:
-family relationships that felt a bit contrived to set up sequels and an inordinate amount of tragedy happening (2 car accidents, one with three fatalities, abusive alpha left one in a wheel chair, another mother with cancer) with two Olympic medalist sisters the same year in the same family in same sport
-nonsensical stalker plot
-disappearing sisterfriend didn’t feel smooth
-first male POV chapter didn’t feel genuine or like something he would think/say, really clunky

I feel like if this had been pushed a bit further with plotting and edit it would be a really great book!

I am so fucking soft right now. Nash and Dutch have my heart.

Gist of the book: FMC is gold medal olympic figure skater. Meets one of the MMC, an ice hockey player, and hit it off. He ends up helping her through her heat, she leaves afterwards and gets in an accident, losing months of memory, including that fateful night. FMC finds out news about the ONS then moves to Seattle with her family, meets a different ice hockey player, and they get into a romantic relationship...but then ONS guy gets traded to the team and reunites with FMC, shook that she doesn't remember him.

This was really sweet with light angst and my first time reading something with amnesia in the story! I thought it was well done. The writing threw me off a little bit, the flow of it not quite connecting with me, but the overall story really worked. I loved seeing the initial meeting with Nash, witnessing Brynn and Dutch fall in love, Nash and Brynn reuniting, and Nash and Dutch connecting! Gah, I love the MMCs, emotional and honest men are my kryptonite.

And most of all, I LOVE THAT THE INTERPERSONAL CONFLICTS WERE RESOLVED SWIFTLY WITH A CONVERSATION. The MCs handled their spats like adults!!!

The math inside joke, the matching dick piercings, the protectiveness and reverence the two guys saw Brynn with? <3 <3 <3

Why it's not five stars: I didn't care for the stalker plot, felt unnecessary.

Regardless, I adored this. This was my first book by this author and I'm really excited to read more from them! Especially book two of this series :)

Another excellent book from Calliope! Amnesia trope, superiors baby, and soft alphas *sigh*, what more can you ask for?

Brynn is a figure skater at the Olympics, who then later goes on an adventure with alpha hockey player, Alec “Nash” Nashtos. One surprise first heat and a run in with memory loss later, Brynn is in Seattle with her dads to try and figure out where to go from there. We meet the sweet big boy David “Dutch” Reynolds, the goalie and professional cutie, and it just kicks off from there.

I especially loved how Aurelia’s mobility issues are handled (and her future harem hints, of course). It really spoke to me as someone who is disabled, and I can tell the author really took care to be inclusive, and sensitive to this topic, especially as a side character.

As always, it’s sickly sweet with a hint of emotional punch. I giggled with the characters, and felt their heartache as my own. The main characters and side characters are well fleshed out, and the storyline hooked me from chapter one. I definitely recommend, especially if you enjoy her her San Francisco Omega’s series. Please be sure to read the trigger warnings.

I received an ARC of this book.

I really enjoyed this book. Its an MFM omegaverse with a cute story line with loveable characters. If you like your stories sweet and angsty then this book is for you.

Some parts did feel a little clunky or longer/more drawn out than they needed to be but overall the story had good flow. The characters had fantastic chemistry, and multiple times I had to put the book down to just giggle to myself over the gooey-ness of it all. This story has why-choose MFM (alpha-omega-alpha), with quick chemistry, amnesia, surprise pregnancy, sweet but spicy alphas and an omega who rolls with the punches and doesn’t let things keep her down for long.

This reads like a favourite fanfic, one you want to go back to time and again because it’s a comfort fic. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it!

This was a sweet and angsty MFM omegaverse romance with ice skating and hockey mixed in. I'm not usually a fan of character's having amnesia, but it worked for this particular story! Very much enjoyed!

Devoured This!

This book has memory, pregnancy (beginning to end), sports (lightly), and other tropes that called to me. Even with the tense situations it was a very lighthearted read and I enjoyed it. I cannot wait for the next book in the series.

For a family that’s supposed to be really tight knit way too much of what I’ve read so far is hinged on these simply just not talking to each other. This is something I can overlook when the family dynamic is meant to be more disjointed and estranged but for this group of characters it makes no sense at all. Couple that with the fact that it feels like the book is just dragging by even though timeline wise it’s moving fairly quickly i just cannot take it anymore.

If you are going to do mom you really need the boys to have different personalities that stand out as unique and different from each other not team mates who are both golden retrievers who are basically the same except one guy is insecure and the other one has some humor other than that could be same guy. Her cousin ruins everything how dare she make that decision to keep the truth to herself. And how dare brynne just forgive her immediately also why isn’t Nash mad at stupid cousin. This book had a great blurb but terrible book

I haven’t read a book by Calliope Stewart that I didn’t love. She always writes the sweetest stories and On Thin Ice was no exception. This is her first book in her new series: the Seattle Omegas and I’m so excited for the next ones. This first book is with Brynn and her Alphas: Nash and Dutch.

We meet Brynn and Nash in Norway while they are competing in the Olympics – Nash for hockey and Brynn for figure skating. I instantly fell in love with Nash! After a wonderful date night, Brynn leaves Nash to rejoin her family just to end up in a terrible accident. With a case of amnesia, Brynn returns to the States with her family. As time moves on, no memories return, but a shock arises when she finds out she is pregnant. Pregnant from a time and an Alpha she can’t remember.

Her dad and uncle take on the job as head coaches for the Seattle Stallions. This is where Brynn meets Dutch. There is no way that you can’t fall in love with Dutch. He is a sweet, gentle giant, with a dirty side in the bedroom. Brynn and Dutch begin a relationship – after the admission of pergnancy. Dutch is all on board!

Brynn may be happy with her new growing relationship with Dutch, but something seems to be missing. Nash returns to her life after a trade to the Seattle Stallions to be closer to home and family. Surprise to both parties when Nash’s little sister introduces him to her figure skating coach: Brynn. Due to the head bonk, Brynn doesn’t remember Nash, but Nash certainly seems to know Brynn. Brynn can’t put her finger on it, but Nash just seems right. Nash got an even bigger surprise when he reentered Brynn’s life to find out she’s pregnant – with obviously his child.

My heart broke for Nash on multiple occasions. He has his own family needs that were a big reason for the transfer to Seattle, but he also suffers from panic attacks. The shock of pregnancy and the blank stare from Brynn causes a bad panic scene. I was so proud of Brynn. Many times, the angst and the drama is drawn out from the lack of communication, but not this time. Brynn was quick to work with Nash and explain everything – even though she doesn’t remember, there was a night they shared. And since he seems to be a missing piece, Nash gets added to the mix with Brynn and Dutch. Dutch and Nash hit it right off with their own bromance and I fell even more in love with them as their friendship grew.

If amnesia, two budding relationships, surprise pregnancy, hockey talk, and family needs weren’t enough, let’s add some stalking to convince you to read. Brynn isn’t too shocked about some pictures of her popping up, this isn’t the first time a fan has crossed the line, but her Alphas don’t feel the same. Is the stalker a big issue or nothing to worry about?

On Thin Ice did not disappoint, but I don’t think anything by Calliope Stewart could. I am excited to read about Auriela and if her love interest happens to be a physical therapist. And cannot wait for the female Alpha story of Ciara!

So, after the San Francisco Omegas, now the first installment of The Seattle Omegas series.

Again, a fantastic book from our Calliope Stewart. She is one of my favorite Omegaverse authors. And with good reason, as it shows here.

Brynn, our FMC, is a figure skater. At the Olympics, she wins the gold medal and meets Alec “Nash” Nashtos, who is a famous alpha hockey player with a terrible reputation. But Brynn and Nash hit it off from the start. He helps her through her surprise heat. But in the morning, Brynn is gone, and Nash has no means to contact her.

And Brynn herself is hit and run by a car and wakes up with no memories of her time in Norway. So, when she discovers that she is pregnant, she doesn't know who the father of the baby is, nor what happened in Norway.

She and her family move to Seattle, because her dads got a new job opportunity as coaches for the hockey team, the Seattle Stallions. There she meets David “Dutch” Reynolds, the quiet and observant goalie of the team, and it's love at first sign, so to speak.

Of course, everything gets complicated, when Nash becomes part of the team, and sees Brynn again. She acts like she doesn't know who he is and on top of that discovers that she is pregnant, and he is the father!

In general, all our main characters have issues. Nash hates his old reputation and tries to show everyone, that he isn't that person anymore. Dutch is always overseen and ridiculed, and therefore insecure. And Brynn has to navigate her life with her memory loss.

I don't want to say too much, but it's really heartfelt and sweet story. I love how they work together to form a future. And the way Dutch loves Brynn. With her, he thrives and is finally seen. Nash finds a friend in Dutch, and finally finds a place for himself aside from his reputation. Of course, he finds love with Brynn, too. And Brynn gets something she never would have expected and learns to define herself other than a famous figure skater.

The families of our main characters, were fantastic, too. They may be side characters, but I loved them from the get go. And can't wait to see the next stories about those women. Aurelia, Brynn's cousin and substitute mother, and Ciara, her feisty alpha best friend.

So, full five stars from me!

I really love polyamorous omegaverse, sports romance, and accidental pregnancy, so this was real trope bonanza for me. Add in a dash of amnesia, and some stalker drama, and there is a lot of plot to work with here. Brynn has a romantic encounter with Nash at the Olympics, where he helps her through a heat spike, and she gets hit by a car leaving the hotel the next morning. She loses her memory, and finds out she is pregnant a couple months later, with no memory of who the father is. Nash is sad and bitter because she left him, and when he gets traded to the hockey team her father coaches, he doesn't understand why she is acting like they've never met. Or why she is visibly pregnant and in a relationship with another man.

Since the Olympics she doesn't remember, Brynn has fallen for Dutch, the cinnamon roll alpha goalie of the hockey team, and they settle into a sort of domestic bliss. When Nash comes to town, and it's clear that he is the missing piece of Brynn's past, the three of them figure out how to make a life together. It's all very sweet, if occasionally bumpy. I loved pretty much everything about the three of them, as individuals, as pairs, and as a triad. Nash and Dutch don't have a separate sexual relationship, but they bond deeply as friends, and enjoy sharing Brynn in every way.

There were a few undeveloped pieces of the story that keep me from giving it 5 stars. The drama between Brynn and her best friend/sister that kept them apart for most of the book wasn't fleshed out enough for me. It's clearly a foundational relationship, and I think it deserved more page time. I also didn't love the stalking plot, but that's a personal preference, so your mileage may vary.

I am eager to read the next book in the series, where Brynn's other sister gets her HEA, after surviving an abusive marriage with her son. It should be nice and juicy.

“‘I couldn’t wait until we got to the point where I could become the omega cream in Nash and Dutch’s alpha Oreo cookies’”

I had so much fun reading this book. It was on the lengthier side but I didn’t feel like it dragged at all. I knew immediately I was going to love it when Brynn, our leading lady and Olympic ice skater, performed to Power of Love by Celine Dion - one of my favorite songs.

Hockey romance gets me every time then you add in omegaverse??? Yes please! I loved Calliope’s writing and characters. Brynn was such a sweetheart and I loved seeing how she navigated her two alpha males. I too wanted to protect her at all costs. Dutch & Nash cared so much for her and I loved seeing how they would do anything for their omega.

The side characters also stood out. Aurelia specifically was a favorite of mine and knowing her book comes next makes me SO excited.

This book was so sweet and then the spice was on point. I do wish there would’ve been some sword crossing BUT I loved the book regardless. It was exciting, romantic, sexy and a tad bit suspenseful toward the end. It definitely held my attention the entire time.

I loved Nash & Dutch’s relationship with one another. It wasn’t romantic or sexual but more of that harem mentality where you both have the same goal to love your lady and put her first. I also adored how Dutch just accepted Brynn and then Nash later on, no questions asked. The three of them were so adorable together. Nash & Dutch being besties was perfection, with their antics and bro moments and playing rock, paper, scissors to see who would take Brynn’s back door V card LOL.

Overall, as you can tell I adored this book with all its sweet and spicy moments and I’m stoked for book 2. Thank you, Calliope for the ARC!

Quite possibly the sweetest omega verse book I have ever read but made all the better with all the spice. Oh my heart, the pinky swears got me good.

Brynn, a figure skating omega, celebrating her Olympic win, meets Nash, an ice hockey alpha with a reputation he wants to shake, fun and adventure ensues including a surprise heat. Morning comes, crisis' happens which splits the alpha and omega apart.
Months later, Brynn finds herself with no memory, pregnant and moving to a new city where "the dads" are coaching an ice hockey team and Brynn is now teaching young figure skaters.
In comes Dutch, a cinnamon roll goalie alpha, who you just can't help fall in love with, and a relationship forms between Dutch and Brynn.
Nash joins the team where he finds Brynn, pregnant and with another alpha, in comes some heartache, some anxiety, a little confusion and a stalker but we the trio form an adorably sweet "pack" together.

I loved the bond Brynn had with her family, "the dads" who are tough ice hockey coaches but complete softies for their girls, seeing the dynamic of single dads as a pack, their tragic family backgrounds, including Aurelia's story and just how supportive they are of each other.
Nash has some difficulties to overcome, a tough family situation and a reputation he wants to change.
Dutch a little introverted and often the butt of jokes or ridicule, finds greater confidence and his dominance is fiery hot as his relationship with Brynn develops and his friendship with Nash forms.
All three have issues to face but together, they are a dynamic trio.

I look forward to the next book in the Seattle Omegas, if its anything like On thin Ice, I know I will love it.

I received an ARC for this book but these are my own thoughts on the book.

4 Sweet Omegaverse Stars

Omegaverse books are a dime a dozen, but genuinely sweet omegaverse stories without MM or bullying or cheating or dub/non-con are like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

I loved that this story was so sweet and spicy. I loved the pregnancy trope. I loved the MFM dynamics, there wasn't a full pack of alphas here. I loved the sports romance theme! Hockey players and figure skaters and Olympics...it was awesome! I also really loved how FMC had such a strong family dynamic.

To be completely honest though, this story didn't evoke any super strong emotions from me. I wasn't scared or concerned or upset when FMC was hurt or threatened. The story was written in such a way that it was obvious that FMC was going to be okay, which is why I didn't rate this higher. Still, I really liked this story and I'll probably read it again sometime.

My 3 top fave tropes in 1 book!

Ok I’m so damn giddy right now! I can hardly contain myself! This book I accidentally stumbled upon on KU and I can not believe I’ve not seen it on any book tok videos or IG book accounts I follow. I feel like I hit the lottery finding this gem. It combines my 3 favorite tropes….RH/Why choose, Omegaverse, and hockey! Like why has this not been done before! Omg it was good Gus. I usually HATE amnesia tropes with a passion but I will say this was done really well. The first 20 % was a bit rough to get through maybe less than 20% but the first few chapters were hard to stick with and focus on. There was so many characters introduced but it got very jumble up because it all came at once, instead of letting us get to know them organically. And especially when your just cracking the book open and are not invested in the story yet it makes it hard to follow.

Other than that, it was such a sweet, heartbreaking, then heartwarming story. It took me through so many emotions. And the way the pack came together was done so well. A Dutch was really such an amazing MMC, they both were but the way Dutch handled every situation the 3 of them found their selves in, well it was just perfection. They built their family, their pack on love and acceptance and never let their alpha egos interfere. It was beautiful really. I am need more from this crew immediately…like I need more books asap. I’m definitely not ready to say goodbye to these characters or this family. They have an amazing extended family that just really makes me want to see all their stories.

Brynn and Nash meet after one of the best days of Brynn's life, and things quickly progress before taking a complete turn. Months later, Brynn finds herself in a new town and with a new Alpha who peaks her attention. Dutch is prime cinnamon roll, big-boy. He's a little bossy in bed and totally sweet out of it. Nash shows up in Seattle still smarting from the omega who he thinks blew him off.

If you've read Calliope Stewart's San Francisco Omegas series, this is perfectly in line with those stories. Sweet, sexy, knotty fun. This is the first book in a new three book series of interconnected stories and does a good job introducing the other sisters for books 2 and 3 while also giving Dutch, Brynn, and Nash chances to grow. Despite some quickly or loosely resolved plot points, I really enjoyed the book. I found myself smiling as I read and for me, that vibe is enough to ensure this will be a comfort reread for me.

I loved Nash from the start and then also fell for Dutch. Brynn is a lucky lady despite the issues going on outside her newly formed pack. I also liked that there wasn't a lot of love-triangle drama in this. It was a sweet, steamy story.

CW: unplanned/surprise pregnancy, amnesia, sort of a love triangle (but not really and not drawn out), fat-phobia towards a MMC, some on page violence and references to past abuse of a secondary character.

I received an ARC copy of this book to provide my honest opinion.

Omegaverse/RH MM/Multi PoV

SYNOPSIS (standalone): The FC, Brynn, is an omega olympian figure skater. Whilst at the Olympics she meets and falls for an Alpha, Nash, who helps her through an unexpected heat. Unfortunately she is then the victim of a hit and run which results in her losing her memory of the past few months. Subsequently she finds out she is pregnant and then falls for another Alpha, Dutch, who is a member of the team her father is coaching in the NHL. In conjunction with this it turns out that Brynn has a stalker. The story covers the development of her relationship with Dutch and then her subsequent re meet of Nash as they form a pack and try to discover who her stalker is.

Heat Level: 🌶️🌶️/🍆🍆 There are a few sexy scenes and some group action but they are not OTT and are relatively vanilla.

Unfortunately I found the book to be, whilst well written, it was slow and relatively boring. The FC was likeable but very vanilla and whilst the MCs were attractive enough they did not really come across as particularly strong or possessive but more passive and underwhelming. The romance is nice enough and the story builds nicely but whilst there’s a traumatic backstory involving the mothers and the FCs hit and run nothing ever really seems to grab your attention or create any real drama and pull.

So, for me, the story didn’t hit either the exciting/dramatic button or the lovely cute romantic button. It was just dull.

EEEEK. This book was so freaking cute!

We have
• a strong, but super sweet omega
• mmc with body image issue
• bad boy who had to grow up
• MFM
• amnesia
• coffee dates
• aesthetic settings
• supportive families

Honestly this book is just adorable. Very low angst, but still with plenty of spice. Brynn is the best of the best when it comes to figure skating. The relationship Brynn, her cousins, and the dads have together and around the sport was so much fun to read. I love when I am reading a book and start hoping that a side character gets their own story. (Already been confirmed that both Ciara and Aurelia will eventually get their own books!)

I feel like Nash is going to be very popular but it is Dutch who stole the show for me. He is an amazing goalie but he isn’t ripped like the rest of the guys on his team. I have only read a few books in the past where the men aren’t described as complete Gods and I loved seeing Dutch’s self-confidence grow throughout the story. Nash is still amazing. He has a different growth journey than Dutch that he has already started before he meets Brynn. Seeing him become more professional in his career and so devoted to his pack was super sweet.

I cannot wait to read this again and for more of The Seattle Omegas to be released!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review
