This comprehensive approach to facing breast cancer
This is one of many books that I have read on this subject. At first I passed on it because it was written a long time ago. However, I found the chapters on coping with the disease to be very useful. As a support person I want to do more, and I have some guilt about it. This book gave me some assurance that I am doing most everything that I can do, plus a few ideas that I will try in the future like celebrating milestones. It also help peel back the curtain a little on what may be going through my wife head and what she is experiencing. I think the book is worth a quick read.
This was my first breast cancer book that I have read, and it was quite an easy read. I don't know how useful it was, there were bits and pieces that were interesting. It was written quite high-level, so if you had done any reading yourself it would be less deep than that. Also I didn't really appreciate all the bits about spirituality and finding god, I didn't think that was appropriate in what this book was tagging itself as being.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer. It informs without preaching and is a great reference guide at a time when too much information can overload you. Great book!
