Fake some holiday cheer

Find rogue cowboy to spend the night with…

When Presley Beckett finds herself freshly divorced, her besties do what any caring, thoughtful friends would do; take her out on the town to celebrate.
That is, until sexy, wayward cowboy Travis McKinley catches her attention, and not just on the dance floor. They have one hot, passionate night…and it was supposed to end there.
Little does Presley realize; Travis is her new landlord, as well as the new guy in town, who everybody loves. Except her.
He’s smug, annoying and completely charming.

But this town ain’t big enough for the two of them, especially when the storm of the century threatens to wreak havoc and snow in the entire town of Silver Pines.
Will Presley and Travis call a truce and realize their feelings for each other, or will it be too late for them to bury the hatchet?

Snowed in - A Silver Pines Little Holiday Novel is a short holiday romance with drama, sexual tension, enemies to lovers, humor and ugly sweaters. It does contain curse words, explicit scenes that are for mature readers and plenty of holiday cheer. Snowed In is a stand-alone read with a happy ever after.

Snowed In had a cute premise but ultimately didn't work for me.

After her divorce from her cheating ex is finalized, Presley Beckett goes out with her friends for a night on the town to celebrate. When sexy cowboy Travis McKinley catches her eye, she throws caution to the wind and spends one passionate night with him. Only her one night has followed her home and Travis ends up being her new landlord. With a snowstorm bearing down on the town, will these two be able to call a truce or will it be too late?

The premise of Snowed In sounded like a ton of fun and I was looking forward to reading this one. Unfortunately after the pair's one night stand, which was incredibly steamy and wonderfully done, I found both of the main characters to be insufferable. Presley is convinced everything Travis is doing must be to get back at her for sneaking out after their night together. And Travis is just so unbearably smug and constantly brings up what happened between them while they're in public despite her asking him not to multiple times. I just struggled to like either one of them and honestly couldn't wait for the book to be over. The only reason this isn't getting one star is that the steamy scenes were actually pretty good and I enjoyed those.

Overall Snowed In didn't work for me due to my dislike of the characters.

Snowed In was super cute!! I liked the idea of the main character beginning to get over her divorce, which ultimately leads her to finding the love of her life. I know this is a novella and it’s supposed to be fast-paced, but I wanted an extra chapter or two with romantic moments between the two characters. I just felt like their relationship felt very rushed towards the end. However, this is a cute read, especially if you like small town romances!

A cute romance cozy read that started out with the promise of a 5 star ⭐️.

Presley is a 36 year old newly divorced woman who heads out on the town with her girlfriends for her divorce party. There she meets Travis, the sexy out of town cowboy. After a one night stand and an amazing night together Presley thinks she will never see Travis again, until he suddenly appears at a committee meeting in her small town.

What started out as a really cute, steamy romance suddenly turned into Presley being really nasty to Travis, I’m really struggling to understand why the story went in this direction, I even re read a couple of chapters to see if Travis had actually done anything wrong. For a 36 year old woman she was acting really childish and in the end I found her character really unlikable.

Although this book was a novella, the ending was so rushed that it gave me whiplash, she went from hating his guts for majority of the book to suddenly passionately kissing him and then falling madly in love with him.

I would have loved to have seen more romance between the characters in the end rather than it being so rushed. I think this book would have done so much better if it was a slow burn with sexual tension. I’m still really confused at why she was so hateful and angry towards the MMC, it kind of just ruined the vibe for this book.

✨Small Town Romance
✨Forced Proximity
✨One night stand to enemies to lovers

Full of sexual tension, light drama, ugly sweaters, and so much more!

The night that Travis and Presley meet you would think it was be all end all, that they were meant for each other. I felt like they had some real chemistry!
Obviously life decided to throw them a curveball.

Presley was not prepared, one night stands are not her “normal”. She leaves before he’s awake and that leaves a sour note to their beginning. Yet Travis still pursues her and the way he does this had me 🥵

When their paths cross again it’s a battle of wills. Each pushing back, trying to get one up on the other! It leads to some hot moments.. 🔥

I really loved how easy it was to rekindle the fire between them!
& that epilogue 😍

I wasn’t ready for this book to end - it was such a mood lifter. I could not helping loving everything about it!

Seriously Loved This Christmas Romance 🎄❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review

I’m seriously getting addicted to these two’s books. My first ever series by them is their Medici Mafia Series and it was phenomenal. So when I saw they wrote an insta-love Christmas romance I jumped at the chance to read it…..and they did not disappoint. This was absolutely incredible and beautiful. I loved every minute of this story and look forward to enjoying more of their stories.

This is Presley and Travis’ story and it starts steamy with a one night stand that leaves Presley sneaking out without even a goodbye, leaving Travis to feel slightly hurt wanting an apology somewhere in between a whole bunch of drama and teasing, and ending on one heck of an HEA Forever!! Which seriously leaves you feeling one hundred percent satisfied.

This book was nothing less of absolute perfection. It definitely sucks you in and keeps you captivated, and feeling all sorts of emotions, and completely entertained. Definitely recommend this insta-love book it’s fun and fantastic.

I really liked so much about this book the writing is great and the story is fun. It’s a pretty easy and light winter/Christmas read that revolves around a small town, newly divorced woman, and a sexy cowboy. I really loved when Travis and Presley first met. The characters had great chemistry and were like able and believable. Then things took a nose dive with my feelings regarding Presley. She’s fairly awful and bratty in this book. I don’t like her at all. I honestly cannot figure out what Travis saw in her or why he’d make such an effort to get her. She was downright nasty to him in more than one occasion and beyond self centered. The saving Grace for this book was Travis. Sure, he was cocky and liked to smirk, but he was funny, caring, didn’t take Presley’s crap, and he had his own history. The secondary characters and the overall story had humor and was charming. It would have been a better book if Presley wasn’t so obnoxious.

I loved this quick, little story! I couldn’t put it down and the characters banter back and forth had me needing to know how all of this was going down. Not to mention the angst…. 🥵

Presley and Travis are steamy and adorable at the same time. At Presleys divorce party, she never thought she’d ever take home a one night stand - but when Travis’ cowboy vibe gets her all hot and bothered and all of his hottest dance moves come out, one things leads to another and it quickly turns into their hottest night ever.

When the next morning comes, Presley sneaks out with hopes of her dreams keeping her company of this night for a while. She never expected to see him again. But fate has a crazy way of making things possible and when Travis shows up in her life - in more than one way - she shuts down in denial until things take course.

This second chance, insta-love story was great! The ending came up way too fast and I wanted so much more from these characters. These women are great story tellers and I hope to see more stories for the side characters! (Definitely will have to include snippets of Trav and Pres please!) Loved it!

*Overall 5/5
*Heat? 4/5
*Fast/Slow Burn
*Insta-love
*MF romance
*Quick read
*Ends on HEA with multiple epilogues

Oh Boy!
Angst with a sexy dash of cowboy. These two are are a hot mess. This Christmas short story is full of conflict and small town goodness.

“I get it,” she says. “You want me to tell you what a bad idea this is and why it won’t work. But all I can think about it that tooshie in those jeans and how he enjoyed being wrangled by the cowgirl.”

This one night stand blows up to n there faces. But that’s a good thing. Ugly Christmas sweaters never looked so hot.

The characters were almost exclusively trash, the writing was redundant and bland.

Presley is a combo of TSTL and asshole. She's thinks EVERYTHING is about her. She's got her cliché bitchy caricature friends(Travis's friends were the same) slobbering after her for graphic details and encouraging her to sleep with Travis again because he's there so why not

She signs a lease without looking at the property or meeting the landlord(Travis, her one night stand she bailed on in the morning). She blames HIM. That was a stupid decision no matter who/where it was.

Travis's company sponsored a festival, including a 10k prize BEFORE he knew she even lived in the town. She's mad because OBVIOUSLY he's just trying to get to her?

So of course she chooses to exclude him from details for the committee he's also on, because that'll show him. The sponsor. Forking out thousands. And gets mad when he participates and suggests ideas everyone else loves

But he's only doing it to make her mad?

He takes on her parents renovations when they're up shit creek- and she's mad people like him.

He's like oh dang blizzard coming, we need to reschedule stuff. Her response I'VE LIVED HERE MY WHOLE LIFE WE DONT GET BLIZZARDS NOW.

Storm incoming, he says get home/somewhere safe. She says she's shopping and hangs up on him.

Then of course Shit for brains Presley is fiddling with the radio while driving in the blizzard and ends up off the road, with no reception and has her OMG I DO LIKE HIM AND NOW I MIGHT DIE

Am I supposed to feel for her because her ex cheated? Because she's divorced? At what point do you just acknowledge a character is selfish crybaby that's been pandered to her whole life? Seeing the way she treats Travis forces you to acknowledge there was probably A LOT more wrong with her marriage before the ex husband cheated

Travis is mostly just there. Makes dirty references to upset her, but otherwise is nice and keeps coming back for more abuse. His friends like I said are also meh.

Swoops in and saves Dumb dumb from freezing on the roadside. HEA

Small town romance
Forced proximity
Enemies to lovers

These two!! I really enjoyed the banter and quip between Travis and Presley. I was looking for a lighthearted holiday read and I found it here. I’m a fan of small town romance, especially around the holidays so this was nice fit. Presley is a stubborn, strong and determined woman looking to rebuild her life. In walks Travis, a hardworking, funny, no-nonsense man. Both open to a night of fun that inevitably takes them down a road neither was expecting. If you are looking for some laughs and a lot of smiles I think you’ll enjoy this read.

“Ouch. I’m hurt. But I don’t seem to recall you having an issue with me treating your body like an amusement park and calling you my dirty little…”

“Your Father did warn me you’re a little firecracker. And I can see he wasn’t wrong.”

“You know, Presley, I think I prefer you better the way you were before,” “Oh yeah, and how was that, Travis?” “In bed, wrapped around me.”

Small Town / Cowboy Romance / Forced Proximity / HEA

Presley has just signed her divorce papers and is out on the town celebrating with friends in nearby town. Travis just purchased a local construction company and is out with friends. The girls learn there may be hot cowboys at another club so they head on over. Presley and Travis lock eyes, share a drink, dance a bit and then have a hot one night stand. She does the walk of shame and leaves him while he’s asleep. She’s not a one night stand person and feels terrible, he’s hurt that she left without a word.

Presley has been living at her parent’s home, sleeping on the couch as they have been renovating. Her realtor has finally found her a place to rent owned by a local businessman. Turns out Travis is that businessman and recognized her name on the rental contract. He doesn’t let on that he’s figured she is his one night stand. She was already familiar with the property and signed the contract without meeting the owner and seeing the place.

Presley is in charge of the local town holiday festivities. The Mayor has told her they have a new sponsor and when he is introduced at the town meeting she’s livid and flustered.

She makes his life hell but he just wants her to apologize. Now she has to move into his place as she signed the contract. He offers to rescind the contract terms if she stays for one month, hoping to win her over.

When a big storm hits and she has to be rescued her real feelings come out, they spend two glorious days & nights together.

This story was really sweet, the spice was rather mild but it was good. Loved the HEA.

(I received an ARC for this book)

I spent the majority of this book loathing Presley and feeling bad for Travis. While out celebrating her divorce, Presley meets Travis. And then the next morning, she sneaks out of his hotel room planning to never see him again. Except, she ends up signing the lease to rent a room at his ranch AND he’s the sponsor for the town’s Christmas celebrations. Which is perfect for a Hallmark movie, and I was really looking forward to that feel. But it never felt that good. I was never a fan of the way she spoke to him. She instantly started making assumptions and tagging blame on top of blame on him. Even though he never truly did anything wrong. I feared she would only get ruder, and I was correct. Travis is a proper southern gentleman. The hat, charm, “sugar”, and all. That night they had together must have been truly magical for him, because I totally would have given up on her. I would have loved to enjoy this one sided enemies banter. But I just can’t understand what Presley’s issue with Travis was! It took a snowstorm for a grown woman to realize that she’s been childish (and sometimes selfish)?! And then we are suddenly handed the Hallmark fairytale ending?!

My Favorite Quotes:
• “Hostility can be construed as foreplay, so be careful with your words.”
• “I wanted more of you. I could never get enough.”

5/10 Dirty Birdy
6/10 “Enemies” to Lovers
5/10 Forced Proximity
5/10 Second Chance
7/10 Slow Burn

I'm having a hard time with the stars on this one and I really dislike the star system but hopefully I can explain my "stars" with this review.

This story is cute and christmasy, it's a really simple fast read. The editing was good, I don't think I noticed any typos. I really wanted to enjoy this book, between its description and cute cover I was really excited to open it up. But by the end of the first chapter I just wasn't feeling it. I did actually read the whole book, BUT I found myself skimming a lot trying to pick up on the actual story and skip a lot of the conversations. So that was my big issue, the conversations didn't flow for me. I didn't understand Presley and why she was acting juvenile towards Travis. I understood Travis way more. But Presley her arguments and come backs just didn't fit for me. I found the convos between her and her friends I could get like I knew they were supposed to be bantery and fun and then serious but it just needed something more to actually pull off. I feel like this book could have used more detail and inner thoughts and more work on the conversations to really make it all fit. It also jumps from lust, to "enemies" to love really fast. And I like earning it a bit more. Again maybe i was just not in the right mood but I like my books with a little bit more in them even if they are shorter standalone. Basically I feel like the story is there but it could have been way better with a little bit more attention.

Snowed In is a cute holiday romance filled with drama, sexual tension, humor and ugly sweaters. This is the first book I read from both these amazing authors.

If you love ❤️ an enemies to lovers trope this book is a must. I really enjoyed reading about Presley Beckett and Travis McKinley.

“When I picked you up? Hah. You were cute, get over it. I’d also downed God knows how many cocktails. Enough to sink a battleship.” ~Presley

Presley Beckett is caring, thoughtful, funny, hardworking, beautiful , sassy and recently divorced. Their chemistry between these two goes beyond the bedroom. Is love in the air or was it just list? Will their love survive the holiday season?

“You weren’t that drunk, princess, and just so we’re clear; I steer clear of bedding inebriated women. I like them able to fully appreciate my skills in bed, which you well remember.” ~Travis

Travis McKinley is one hot 🥵 as fuck cowboy 🤠. He’s smart, funny, handsome, cocky, hardworking, dirty talking alpha.

The book is beautifully written and the storyline contains enough drama and spice to have you feeling all sorts of things.

Snowed In by Dakotah and Mackenzy Fox is filled with holiday romance, humor, Christmas tree decorating, ugly sweaters and spice.

Don’t forget to pre-order Snowed In out December 10,2022.

Stars: 3.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️

I really wanted to like this book.
I didn’t really understand how it went from one night stand to her hating him and being so stubborn about everything. It just didn’t make sense. He didn’t do anything other than blow her mind in bed. I struggled to enjoy the whole middle of the book.

Then when she finally does give in and sleep with him again there’s ZERO romance. She’s just sorry for being stubborn and now she’s in love with him?

Pretty low on the spice scale. I really didn’t find spice well written. Each of the couple scenes were rushed. It felt like this author doesn’t traditionally write open door spicy scenes because they were confusing and skipped over things. We got more detailed about minor things like the committee meeting than we did about their sexual encounters.

And I don’t think the 3 extended epilogues were necessary. Were the authors just desperate to throw the random surprise baby in there?? It confused me. It should’ve just ended at the engagement.

Overall 3.5 stars because it was enjoyable but there were problems. I didn’t hate it though. But some things just didn’t make sense for the story and the spice was some of the worst I’ve ever read.

Having read this duo's work before i've been looking forward to picking up more from them! As soon as i found out they were releasing a holiday book i knew i had to read it next! I picked it up and got right into Silver Pines. I so enjoyed it!

Presley and Travis's journey got my attention! Presley is looking to a new start after her divorce. A night on the town with her friends brings her face to face with Travis. Little did they know their paths would cross again. Will these to go their separate ways? and can they find something more together this holiday season?

I really liked how Presley and Travis were brought into each other's lives. I wasn't sure how they'd tackle things between them when it came to their feelings. The chemistry between Presley and Travis was so good! Both of them had me feeling so many things all throughout which i really enjoyed!

With Snowed In, The Fox duo have created a good holiday read! I am so looking forward to picking up more from this duo!

If there was ever Hallmark Christmas movie that was actually a book, it would be this one. It’s got all the makings for a holiday classic: internal drama, external drama, a MMC who thinks he knows more about Christmas festivities than the FMC, a blizzard who ruined Christmas, and a happily ever after.

I absolutely love our main man, Travis. He’s confident, but not cocky. He’s always willing to help out. He’s protective. He’s soft and he’s sweet. And he’s willing to put up with an absolute spitfire.

Presley is extreme. Take every personality trait she has and dual it ip to eleven. It’s almost not believable. (Except that it is. It really, really is). She’s dramatic, she’s cagey, she’s angry, she’s stubborn. I didn’t like Presley a single ounce. But that was due to some amazing characterization. She was written so well I had no choice but to like her.

For a novella every single character, main and side, were incredibly well developed.

The ending was a little rushed, but again , if we’re saying this was actually a Hallmark movie then it was extremely on par for what you’d expect.

Snowed In is currently available on Kindle Unlimited and if you’re looking for a cute, semi-spicy, enemies to lovers, Christmas novella then this is exactly what you need.

This was an amazing, second chance at love, Christmas novella that I absolutely loved and could not get enough of. Filled to the brim with drama, angst, sexual tension, smuttiness, and some very heartwarming and wonderful moments.

Travis and Presley have a very sexy and very steamy one night stand, and didn’t think that they would ever see each other again. But fate has another plan for these two and wouldn’t you know it, they are once again thrown back together, and I was all for it.

Travis and Presley have amazing chemistry and the crazy back and forth banter between them had me in stitches at times and then squirming from all the pent-up sexual tension and dirty sexual innuendos they kept throwing at each other (Travis more than Presley). They were just so perfect together and I couldn’t wait for them to figure it out and rekindle that explosive fire they have.

Really well written story filled with the right amount of delicious spiciness that will warm your heart and melt your panties. Perfect for the holiday season.

Loved it.

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. This was this author duo’s first holiday romcom and they rocked it! Travis and Presley had so many laugh out loud moments, but don’t let that or the cute cover fool you, this still brought alllll the heat that we can usually expect from this duo. Presley meets Travis while she is out celebrating her divorce with her sister and girlfriends. After a one night stand she doesn’t expect to ever see him again. When she runs into him where she least expects it, things quickly change and he constantly gets under her skin. This book is the perf read to binge in-front of the fire place with some hot chocolate, or a glass of wine!  Perfect to get you into the holiday spirit! It’s cute, LOL funny and brings you all the spice. I really enjoyed these two, especially loved Presley’s snarky comments she was always throwing Travis’s way!

This is a quick read but will give you all the fun of a holiday romance. This sweet and sassy romantic story has amazing banter, sexy angst, humor and a war of the crazy ugly sweaters what else can you ask for oh wait yes let's add a sexy cowboy to the mix. With all that you have one crazy fun read. Presley is newly divorced and while out celebrating she meets Travis a sexy cowboy that she has one crazy hot one-night stand with. Then sneaks out never thinking she will see him again. Travis is disappointed that she ran and didn't leave her number. Things get crazy when they see each other again at a committee meeting in the town that they both live in (he is new to town). Let the fun begin. If you're looking for a fun Christmas read with good banter and angst this book is for you. Once I started it, I could not put it down. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

"It's strange, being in the same vicinity as him, when all I can think about is that hot night we spent together."

Mix ugly christmas sweaters with cowboys and you get Snowed In.

Snowed In, a new Christmas romance novella, features Presley and Travis, both fresh off their respective divorces, meets at a bar and after a one-night-stand, finds themselves thrown into living together.

I absolutely loved their relationship from start to finish, and I need more of them.

This was just the cutest cosy Christmas cowboy romance I didn't know I needed!

I found this book at Perth's Wild Out West event in 2025 when I met Mackenzy & Dakokah Fox - of whom were lovely!! I was drawn to the cover initially & then finding out this sort had hideous sweaters and cowboys - I knew this was the one for me.

24 hours and I have devoured this book! It's my first book by these two Aussie Authors and it did not disappoint.

Very well written & it is one of those books that had me hooked within a few pages!

I love how stubborn Presley is, with her love of animals, Christmas and wine & then there's Travis - new ranch owner in town, horse lover & cowboy with a cheeky attitude.

Add a drunk divorce part night out, a new home rental & a snow storm - what could be better?!

4/5 stars for me & I highly recommend!

These two are hilarious to watch interact with each other. And because of that, my face hurt from smiling so much.

Presley and Travis shared a very steamy one night stand but she ruined it by taking off without a goodbye. Soon after she finds out he’s moved to her town and is the sponsor of the town’s Christmas party as well as her new landlord. Oh things just became very tense. Travis decides to have some fun at her expense and the sexual tension and witty banter soon follow.

I loved Travis from the start. Though infuriating at times with his antics, he is dreamy and endearing. Presley May have strong and independent but she drove me nuts and at times I wanted to shake her.

Mostly slow burn but the banter makes up for it.

The writers definitely know how to reel in the readers to their stories and make them fall in love with the characters. Snowed In had such a cute cover and gives the perfect Christmas vibes as it’s the main highlight in the story too. One strange hookup where both the main leads didn’t think they’ll meet up again ever, leads to an amazing journey of banter and intense chemistry. Presley and Travis are incredible individuals and when they are around each other, firework happens. They have their own pasts to learn from and Presley thinks a lot before doing anything, commuting is a huge deal here. The journey is a whirlwind of amazing encounters laced with the sweetness of Christmas preparations and exploring their feelings. It’s a perfect holiday read.

This cute, fiesty, sexy romantic rom com was just the book i needed and has a festive element in too go get you all cosy for christmas.

Firstly, what is not to love. A sexy as hell cowboy and a sassy female looking to party after her divorce. When she hooks up with hunky Travis the cowboy all her inhibitions go out the window and the wild care free side arises.

I love the fact Travis & Presley have this mutal ground and although it's fuelled on sexy chemistry and alcohol, you feel their attraction in the pages.

But when the one night stand turns up in your town all your sanity goes out the window and the push and pull will leave you drooling for more. When love can rekindle and connect you like Travis & Presley that is LOVE.

This was the perfect read i wanted to indulge in.

This was such an adorable quick read! I’m a sucker for a good Holiday romance with an HEA and this book delivered in full!😍🙌

I loved Travis and Presley’s character and the banter they shared! Presley is a little bit more cynical which I honestly loved! It’s not always easy to just be cheery 24/7, especially around the holidays! Travis of course was the ultimate swoon worthy H! He definitely falls first which is always my favorite! The sexual tension between the two was undeniable and I loved how they came together!

If you’re looking for a holiday read with all the feels, this is perfect! I definitely recommend! 😍🎄

This was a cute & fun holiday romance book! I loved the banter between Presley & Travis- especially Travis. I thought Presley was a bit OTT at times with her attitude, but I still enjoyed her. The sexual tension between these 2- you could cut it w/a knife! Both of them were recently divorced & not looking for anything, but as soon as Travis saw her he was smitten! It took Presley a little longer to come around though! But these 2 were absolutely incredible together!
Mackenzy & Dakota are an amazing team & I’ve loved every book I’ve read f/them. This is definitely a great little holiday romance!

Ms Grumpy/Mr Sunshine…

If you’re looking for a steamy, laugh out loud holiday romance then this book is for you!
After Presley signs her name on the divorce papers her friends take her out of town to celebrate. What she didn’t expect was to see a handsome cowboy giving her his full attention.
After a night of the best sex and connection she’s ever had Presley sneaks out on Travis, the sexy cowboy. She regrets not leaving a number but fate seems to have a hand on bringing these two together.
They are snarky with each other which causes some build up and tension between them. When Presley finally stops being combative and finally lets Travis in all bets are off.
