That vow is tested mightily when his sixteen-year-old daughter, Katie, falls for a young cowboy with a mysterious past. Meanwhile, the formidable Undergrove Gang is cutting a bloody swath across the Southwest.

JUSTICE BEING SERVED DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN TAKING OUT THE TRASH, IT MEANS ALSO HELPING OTHERS

☆☆☆☆☆

Justice Rides Again (Silent Justice Book 4) by John Deacon is a great western story of a man named Justice (Jake Bullard) who's life is dedicated to helping others, setting wrongs right when he can, and putting down the evil in the west so they can't harm the innocent anymore.

Justice is a loving family man who is devoted to his wife, Nora, his two children, Eli and Katie, who sacrifices his family time to serve as a Silent Justice. A man who stays under the radar whether it's helping a widow with a couple of children down on their luck get a roof over their heads, clothes on their backs, and a job so they have food on their table. Helping making repairs around someone's farm when they are to laid up or old to make the repairs themselves or just putting an end to those who prey on others.

This is a story of a man with morals and the story of his family and those he helps. It's full of action, suspense, and romance. It's a story that is appealing to all ages and one I truly enjoyed from the first book in this series to this fourth and what appears to be the final book in this series. The good thing is Justice shows up in additional series as well as some of the other characters.

I have truly enjoyed reading this book as well as this series and hope you too will find yourself enjoying it as much as I have.

Fourth installment in the Silent Justice series, this story brings more action, thrills, and a huge challenge navigating a sensitive family issue.

Highly recommended series for those who enjoy the Western genre. Best to read the series in order

I have to admit that I was very pleasantly surprised by this entire series. I purchased the first book because it was the Audible Book of the Day and I thought "why not?" Well, before I knew it, I had finished the 4th book in the series and would happily continue if there are ever more books to come.

These books are fairly quick and easy reads and I have to admit - they were my first foray into the Western genre. I really liked the male MC or the "hero" I guess - Justice. He also has a very strong female counter part, especially for that time period in Nora. Because it is the Wild Wild West, there are lots and lots of bad guys.

This book is kind of an add on I think, or the beginning of a new story arc. We pretty much finished the trilogy and the story arc of the bad guy big boss in book 3 and this book begins a few months afterward with a new and different plot line.

As we have come to expect, there is lots of action, some breath holding moments and a nice and fulfilling end event. If I haven't mentioned it before, I REALLY like the voice of the narrator A.T. Chandler. He has an extremely deep and rich voice that somehow just really fits when talking about these good guys and bad guys.

I read this 4th installment hoping there'd be a 5th!

Lonnie and the pups were the unexpected heroes of the day! I think Justice noticed too much of himself in Lonnie to really like him at first.

Well worth the read

This series is very well written and full of action. Each book is hard to put down so best to dig in for the ride. Loved the main characters to the point where you hated to see the series end. I highly recommend this series.

Justice is back to finding desperados and ending their murderous ways. He gets his assignments from Doc and is often away from the ranch. While there are many gangs and murderers to be dealt with, it is the Undergrove gang that is the most ruthless. They do everything with precision, take a hostage and kill anyone that tries to stop them. Then they race across the border to Mexico, only to reappear when things cool down. Justice can’t follow him there so he must track him and wait until they show their ugly faces. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Nora is in town for supplies when she is approached by young Lonnie Cooper. Only 17 years old, he has been cowboying since he was 13. Daughter Katie is 16 now and the two feel an immediate attraction. Great. One more thing for Justice to worry over when he is gone. What is going to happen when the Undergrove gang rides into his town while he is gone? Another excellent addition to the Justice series. If you haven’t read them yet, I highly recommend you start from the beginning.

Now that we're on book four I thought it was a refreshing breath of mountain fresh air just after a storm had passed. All the problems of the past three books have been resolved and we have some new bad guys (and a questionable young man) for Justice to deal with.

I won't spoil anything in this review. I enjoyed book four more than book three simply because the story of the bad guys (Tucker and all the rest) became tiring. I didn't feel like the bad guys had received justice after that book was over. I was just glad we could move on to something new.

Which is exactly what happened.

The editing is razor sharp in book four, and we get to see a lot more of Katie but less of Eli. Nora is still a calming presence for Justice.

All in all, a great book and fun to read. What more could a person ask for? 5/5*

Another great chapter!

This fourth in the Justice series by John Deacon was a suitable and indeed heartwarming addition to the first three books. There is a simplicity, even a purity, in the main character. Yes, he leads a violent life and this makes his romance a bit tenuous. But in the context of the times, he signifies a life of survival, making few long term life assumptions, tending to quick decisions and implementing them without a lot of equivocation. The ending events of this book suggest more chapters yet to come. I hope and urge John Deacon to continue the series.

Justice is a man with a mission

I read all three LOBO books and just finished all four of the JUSTICE series. I never heard of the author John Deacon until my husband started reading the LOBO series. I started reading and now I look forward to every word in his books. John Deacon writes good books with decent content not trashy adjectives without purpose. Bad men die but never without a chance to not draw their gun. JUSTICE became a family man that loves his family dearly but he still has a job to do. I look forward to many more John Deacon books.

First, thanks for writing this great story! When I saw Book 4 was available, I knew it was my next book. Justice did ride again, and he always manages to help others; this time he also saves his own family. I love that Nora understands him and I love that his honor is known to everyone. Katie is growing up and Eli is becoming strong. Will there be more Justice books? I’ll keep watching. We love this genre in this house and enjoy a good historical western. This author is at the top of the list.

Justice, Katie & Lonnie, home at last

This story of a U.S. Marshal on appointment from the President where Justice ‘always gets his man’ has a great human component with the introduction of another orphan, Lonnie, that Justice & Nora take in at their ranch. Katie being the first. The pace & drama surrounding Lonnie’s search for a home, his new romance with Katie and his undiscovered skill as a gunfighter will hold a reader to the fantastic end.

ANOTHER TERRIFIC TALE

The spiritual traits of the characters are profoundly well developed. These traits make it clear what the nature of each character is and what can be expected of them. The circumstances of the stories are also clearly depicted to reflect conditions I experience in my own life and provide a level of identification with the characters that excites the flow of feelings. Wonderfully interesting.

Justice

The story of Justice reads like a good movie. You became involved with the characters and storyline. You don't want to put it down without finding out what happens next. Each character is well developed. Put your imagination to work as you enjoy this tale of the old west, love, family and justice.

Love this series! It's one of the best westerns I've ever read. Justice is an awesome character and so is Nora. The story starts off with an intense murder attempt. Justice is left for dead then brought back to life by lightning. And the action just gets better from there. You will love this series.

Book 4 has a lot going on. Katie is upset at Justice over Lonnie, While Justice is upset with himself over the way he handled it. And the Undergrove gang is still causing havoc and heading for Dos Pesos. I sure hope there's more coming in this series I've enjoyed all 4 books hoping for more.

A Terrific Series: Justice

This is one of the best series I have read. John Deacon has crafted great characters and well developed them in, so far, a 4 book series. I enjoyed this series immensely. Can’t wait for Book 5 to come out. The main characters are very believable and beloved. Great novel series.

wrong moves

Thieves and gangs were running rampant throughout the west robbing & killing when they go after the wrong family!
Katie knew she was in love with Lonnie and he loved her but Katie’s dad, Justice, was totally against their young love.
What brings the father in Justice to accept his daughter’s love?

Pure pleasure reading.

I am blessed to have hunted with a WW II rural Texan. He meant what he said and never had to raise his voice or pound a table. At the same time he cared for the needs of widowed friends and their property…never expecting even a “thank you”! He and Justice would have been great friends.

I loved the first three books and thought the story ended perfectly after the third book. This was the fourth in the series and it focused more on his family and not his adventures so I thought it some of the punch the other books had. Some new characters were introduced in this book so, hopefully, they will be included in his other stories.

Great everything.

I love Deacon's writing. I devoured all 4 of the Justice books. 1 through 3 one right after the other. A few days later I ran across this 4th, and I'm glad I accidently had a few days between. In this 4th book the characters we've seen able and strong fight outward fights are taken to another level. I loved it.

Good Reading

If you have read the rest of the series you know there's a good amount of violence. It is a story amount good moral character and being strong enough to enforce Justice on those with NO morals.

Rip-snortin western.

Second in the series and they just keep getting better. Justice is a hero you can't get out of your mind. His family and friends are equally as endearing. I couldn't put it down. Jake Kaminski -Author of Shadow Wolves

Great

I really do miss the old shows. It's sort of like the old song says You don't know you got it's gone. This book, like it's predecessors was just like sitting down to an episode of Gunsmoke. Here's hoping for more
