Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my digital copy in exchange for an honest review. I had to request this title as I am currently in a phase where I am trying to heal my body from everything I have done to it and practice a little more self care... I don't think it was quite what I was expecting but it did have a lot of info and many recipes for self care...It might be one I have to actually hold in my hands and see the pictures or be able to earmark pages...it didn't quite work out for me as a digital copy.
This is a really interesting book that takes a look at the ancient art of cooking-for-healing and blends it with modern magic to create a grimoire of kitchen witchcraft. Packed full of wisdom and spells, this book is essential for witches of all paths.
This book briefly covers the origins of kitchen witchcraft (for example, how healers could brew tea or use tinctures for healing) and teaches us how to revive traditions of old by incorporating magic and intention into our everyday cooking. There is interesting lore and magic tips sprinkled throughout the book, but without a doubt the spells are the highlight of the book. The recipe for Be Well Tea and Cure-All Chicken Soup are a few that I can't wait to try!
And DONT FORGET: Whether you’re stirring coffee, tea or soups, stir with intention! Stir clockwise for intention, stir counterclockwise for banishment!
I really liked reading this. It's super helpfull, very well explained, interestinga nd insightful. A teal hood edition in your lecture about healung and self-care. I really liked how alot of things are easy and quick enough todo yourself.

Thank you to Netgalley the Publishers, Callisto Media | Rockridge Press and the author Maggie Haseman for allowing me to review this book. Which, I will be giving my honest and sincere review.
There is so much information in this book it definitely will take quite a few times to read to retain. All the different healing properties that go with herbs and what herbs helps this “ailment” etc.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I’ve always been curious of all things witchy and I sage and use Palo Santo, surrender cards, etc.
This book def set me up for wanting to get back to the roots of my cooking with intention. How that can be self healing in its own. Definitely recipes I will be trying out as well!
If you’re a little witchy, love cooking, need a little self healing advice, etc. don’t hesitate to pick this up!
This book is full of great insights and recipe ideas that all contribute to self care. Self care is so hard sometimes in this busy world and the author provides us with ways to be mindful in the moment. As a self identified kitchen witch I greatly enjoyed the recipes section (even if my little picky eaters would probably pass on the majority of these dishes) as I gave insights as to why certain ingredients work so well for certain purposes. I would recommend this books to anyone interested in witchcraft, mindfulness, or vegan cooking.
Authentic Knowledgeable Author, I truly enjoyed reading through getting to know the author, and her recipes. Her style of unique magic she teaches to cultivate in your own kitchen.
If you align with this belief system I highly recommend this book to any Kitchen Witch, Naturalist out there.
I wouldn't call this a kitchen witch book , but the book has nice exercises for calming, clearing, and centering oneself, and lots of yummy healthy recipes, and lots of tea. Therefore if those things appeal to you then you will Love this book!
This book wasn’t really what I was expecting. It says it is for readers of any spirituality and I am not Wiccan but am very interested in herbs, self care and kitchen witchery. At its core it is a vegan cookbook with some things like visualization worked in. As an example, there’s a chocolate mousse made of vegan chocolate chips, aquafaba (the liquid in canned chickpeas) and apple cider vinegar. It has a catchy name and something about how it will help relationships or something. There is information about the supposed magical powers of herbs, crystals, etc but I was hoping for more health based information on the herbs and more of what I consider kitchen witchery like making your own hawthorn tincture for the heart (historically used to help the heart and scientifically proven to be helpful but also traditionally used for heartbreak and sadness). This will be a good fit for a young vegan who is new to Wicca and self care.
Even if it's a book for beginners I am always interested in reading and discovering something new. This book is easy to follow and I found some ideas and recipes interesting. Recommended. Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine
Finally a witch's guide to self care. There's so much wonderful information in this well written book. I especially loved the tea recipe in each section of the book. There is also an abundance of delicious recipes to enjoy. I'm definitely adding this book to my personal library.
I was surprised how much I learned from this book. Honestly my favorite part was the explanation of what every spice stands for or helps with if you will.
Has an awesome list of correspondences for household kitchen ingredients. Beautiful, relatable musings on doing mundane, everyday things with intention ❤️
