Elemental Angels #1

Angel's Target

Rate this book
His job is to vanquish the demon threat. But when a mortal woman gets stuck in the crossfire, can he protect her from the new target on her back?

Titan is second-in-command of the fallen sentinel angels, a fearsome group of earthbound angels who are tasked with protecting heaven from the demon charmers. The eternal struggle has cost many lives, one of which Titan still blames himself for six months later. But when a mortal woman becomes a target of his enemy, he saves her—only to discover she looks just like the woman he lost months ago.

Not a day goes by that Rose Meyer doesn’t spend looking for her twin sister. With a newfound lead at her fingertips, she heads out in search of clues to her sister’s whereabouts. What she finds, however, is a frightening magic user intent on killing her—and a hulking angel of gleaming metallic titanium who shuttles her out of the kill zone.

And refuses to let her out of his protection.

Her touch has sparked a celestial power in him that has been lost since he and his brothers fell. But as Titan’s power grows, so does the mysterious bond between him and the woman occupying his every thought. When they learn that Rose unknowingly possesses what the demons are searching for, their deep connection is tested as tensions run high. Because this elemental angel refuses to put her in harm’s way. Even if it means shattering his heart in the process.

Aimee Robinson is a lover of romance novels in all forms. Her absolute favorites, though, are the ones that offer a little bit of something extra: time travel, guardian angels, good old-fashioned meddlesome grandmothers with a supernatural secret to hide, you name it.

She believes romance novels should transport you from the humdrum to the swoon-worthy, preferably while being curled up on the couch with chocolate and tea (or wine...or both!). Aimee’s overactive imagination lends itself to fun tales with emotional adventures, sexy snark, and happily ever afters.

When not writing or reading, Aimee enjoys spending time with her husband and keeping up with her two young sons.

Inner monologue and history was on repeat…in first 25% read no less than 4 times that his Angel fire was block from full power…Titan had to repeat multiple times to Rose the history and the lack of his celestial weapon…got super boring. But if you like having details and dialogue repeated this is the story for you.

Titan Targets Rose!

There are fallen angels walking among us seeking those who carry the light and battling those who seek to destroy the light. These angels take the form of almost indestructible metals. Titan is the fallen Angel whose target is Rose, only he didn't realize it. When Titan takes his Angel form ready for battle, he is Titanium, second in command of the fallen angels.

Six months before he met Rose, he was not able to save Tammy, Rose's twin. When he gets in a battle and sees Rose, he thinks he's been given a second chance to save Tammy. No, his target is Rose.

This is their story and as the author states: "To anyone who likes their mates good and fated . . . and who wouldn’t dream of expecting less.". Read to book to discover: Who the angels are; How and Why they fell; Who are their demon/enemies who seek to destroy the light; Will they all find their fated mates; Do all fated mates carry the light!

As a paranormal Angel romance, nothing is off the table. I loved meeting all the angels; in both their human and their metal forms and seeing these fierce warrors in a family setting! There were errors of wrong words usage, etc. It raised my eyebrows but didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the story.

4.5 stars! This is book one of the Elemental Angels series, and it is a great start to a very intriguing and unique urban fantasy series focused on a team of sentinel angels, tasked with protecting human souls from charmers, aka demons, determined to snuff out every last trace of divine light. This team of angels definitely goes in the same vein as other romance series where you have former military or navy seals teams, each individual with their own stories, but an overarching plot that brings the whole things together. What makes this more unique and interesting is not only that it’s a team of angels, but who they are, and their quite unique abilities and traits. Each angel commands a metallic element, and their names coincide with the element they connect with. And they are also insanely ancient, immortal beings. I’ve never quite seen this type of a make-up for angels in another book, and I love how unique it is, and how well is it utilized throughout the story.

As this is book one of the series, there is a TON of exposition that takes place, and of course in the name of world building, that can be a double edged sword. Much of our understanding of what’s driving the angels and charmers is shared as Rose is brought into the fold. Rose’s twin, Tammy, was abducted by charmers six months prior…the only time Titan failed to protect a human from them. While he never let go of the case, Rose was also persistent in her pursuit of finding her lost sister, which leads them straight into each other’s paths, and a collision course with a destiny larger than either of them could even imagine. A simple touch during an altercation with some charmers attacking Rose sends Titan’s angel fire magic skyrocketing beyond anything he’s ever been able to experience. And as Titan’s determination to protect and care for Rose grows, their connection continues to deepen, and his magic becomes more and more potent. Not to mention the fact that this total bada$$ angel is a complete cinnamon roll when it comes to Rose. They have some great banter, and some of it just the absolute cutest stuff ever. They also happen to have some great chemistry. A bit of a slow burn, but with some early sparks, the spice is quite excellent, and comes with a few unique perks of its own.

Overall this is a great story with interesting and wholly unique world building. While the focus is on Titan and Rose, we still get a pretty good feel for the rest of this team of angels, which sets the stage for what are sure to be some great stories as this series continues.

Pacing issues galore and plot holes you could drive a truck through. My favorite part, though, is the fact that the MMC and his angelic brethren fell to earth 65 million years ago, causing the extinction of the dinosaurs, long before humanity existed. Yet they have humanoid forms. This implies that either: A) they watched from the sidelines in abject confusion as primates slowly grew more and more similar to them with no explanation for the phenomenon or B) they changed form with the surrounding environment. And because of the rules of romance novels, No Man Is A Virgin, so the author had to include this line: “Of course, he had hardly been the good angel mortal lore would like to believe. He and his brothers had needs like any other being, and as long as they kept things temporary and one-off, no one was the wiser.” Surely they had the same “needs” 65 mya, ergo, these dudes were hopping around in the form of our ancient rodent ancestors doing booty calls… or they weren’t, and they suffered through these “needs” by themselves for the first 64.7mya and at some point looked at an ancient hominid that was close enough to their humanoid forms and went, “yeah, y’know what? I could fuck this” and went for it, in what was surely the most pent-up cumshot of all time.

I loved the world that Aimee introduced us to. There is a lot of world building and history throughout the story, but it makes the story wonderful. Rose is a woman on a mission. Her mission is to find her twin that went missing 6 months ago. Titan is an elemental angel that patrols the area hunting demons that are preying on people. Rose’s twin sister Tammy was abducted while leaving work. Titan failed to protect her and has lived with that anguish since. Rose and titan meet while Rose is searching for her sister, since everyone else has given up. While working together to find Tammy, Rose and titan find love and family. This is a sweet and steamy romance. The spice is tamer than I normally read, but still hot and well written. I loved this first in a new series from Aimee Robinson. I cannot wait to see what is next for this group of angels and the women that they will move the world to protect.

Titan is second in command of the fallen angel’s tasked with protecting heaven from demons. Rose is searching for her missing twin sister, and also becomes a target of the demons. He becomes her protector!
I was very intrigued by the story development learning more about the angel’s fall from heaven and introduction into the other angels whom I cannot wait for stories for each of them!
Titan and Rose had an instant connection you could feel reading the story. I really enjoyed the banter and each new situation the couple found themselves made it so easy and fun for me to fly through the story in a few hours.
Loved the spice included!
Cannot wait for Tung’s story next.
I received an ARC copy of this book and am leaving an honest review.

It’s official I now want a Metallic Angel boyfriend 👼🏻 I so enjoyed this book. The world and the elements involved was laid out so perfectly. Of course I fell in love with Titan but I loved getting glimpses of all the brothers. Don’t sleep on Rose , she really surprised me. The sassy and back and forth banter was chefs kiss. And let’s not forget the spice . Yes it was sweet but it definitely wasn’t tame. This book was more on the softer side of what I usually read but I just loved the balance of sweet, action & drama. Ok Aimee Robinson I am definitely hooked on this series. I can’t wait to see what’s next. This is a definite recommend for me. As always make sure your comfortable with what you are reading. Happy Reading Book Besties 💙

Good Story!

I enjoyed the beautiful language and depth of this story. But it was too long and a good editor could have cut down on the repetition. It has some unique ideas and clever writing, but it seemed a bit long and drawn out. With that being said, the end was abrupt! There was no attempt at an explanation to how Titan was restored and a bare mention of Tammy and Iron, which the reader suspected a mile away. My biggest input would be to realize your readers have a brain and can figure out what your characters are thinking. You don't need to tell us! I highly recommend the read, though!

Repeated Mush

This book started off decent enough but by the time I got to the center, it was close to being in my DNF pile. I don't understand how someone can spout some of the cringe they do and turn around and say it again but in a different way. The main heroine changed in personalities way too quickly in my opinion and after saying the sweet sentiments since midway through the book, she has a big revelation at the end that she loves him? After practically saying it without saying it. Also, why did it take three pages to say he betrayed you or he's a traitor. I get it. He lied to you but it doesnt have to be repeated for an entire chapter over and over again.

Angels on earth with a mission to protect souls is an interesting start to a new series. I really liked all of the world building details and descriptions linked to the backstory and characters. Rose on a path to find her sister leads to a whole new otherworldly situation. Titan and his brothers are truly unique- finding unexpected connections where none was suspected. This was an enjoyable story with a sweet HEA and a bridge to the next novel in series.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily sharing my honest review.

I JUST finished it and I came running to give my review before I forget how I feel right now.

This book is a 10/10 for me. Titan was just so funny, and Rose is a sarcastic ball of sass and just I loved their dynamic so much. The spice I would probably put at a 4/5 but it was so well written I had to make sure I had some water on hand to put out the flames on my face lol.

I loved how well written this story was, the world building was well put together and I really do look forward to reading more of this author’s work.

Memories

I used to read a lot of books with Paranormal aspects but I haven't in a long time. This book really brought me back some, but not in a viscous way. This was like those books that remind you of real love in front of a fireplace with warm socks. All of the brothers (#Angels) have such great characteristics that this book really made me look forward to reading about all of them.

Angel's Target (Book 1, Elemental Angels ) by Aimee Robinson

I loved the story. It included excitement, suspense, comfort, sense of family, loyalty, love and evil. I did feel some of the descriptions were repeated a tad too many times. Overall I do intend to read more of the series. Enjoy. In

Well this was different

I found myself at times trying to hard to picture some of the things spoken about. It could just be I wasn’t into the story all that much but I did enjoy the read.

If paranormal fantasy isn’t your thing this won’t be for you.

Metal Angels!

What do you get when you mix angels with metals, a slight gargoyle guardian air. I love how this author combined these two favorites. Add in mystical demons determined to keep souls out of the hearafter and you have a top notch read.

Loved the idea behind this book and how different it felt.

I loved the characters they all felt so real. I was so Intruiged by the angels and their metals such a cool idea. I really enjoyed the story line but it felt so rushed at the end and didn't do the build up justice

ok

Diff kind of story. Their names kinda made me laugh….but whatever. It was interesting but I was sorta annoyed that with all going on, she still kinda doubted the bond. And it seems thr sister will be the same way.

Explores how often we meet someone who has a lasting impact on on lives. It was an easy read, with character development that explores regular humans coming into contact with celestial beings and their awesome powers.

Rose’s experience with the angel was difficult to accept, then he’s the helper she can imagine. The mission for Tammy was so dangerous, and the other angels sure knew how to keep their integrity.
