Possessive Mafia Kings #1

Owned by the Italian Mafia Boss

Rate this book
I was forced to marry a ruthless mafia boss and give him a baby
Or let my father die...

Delilah

They call him “The Devil.”
Head of the Italian Mafia and the man who rules this city.
A man too dangerous to go near.

But my father’s life is in danger
And the only way to save him is to agree to The Devil’s demands.
Pose as his wife and give him a child.

I was expecting to be tortured.
I was expecting to be used.
I wasn’t expecting to fall for him.

And now his child is growing inside me,
I have no idea what to do.
I can’t walk away from my baby.
And I can’t walk away from this man either...

Carmine
This was supposed to be nothing but business.
She marries me, gives me a child and I let her father go free.

But nothing about Delilah is as I expected.
Not her courage, or her boldness
Or the way I just can’t stay away from her.

Now I want far more from her than just a child.
I want a life together.
A family.

I know I’m crazy to be thinking this way.
Because how could anyone ever truly love The Devil?

Note: Owned by the Italian Mafia Boss is a steamy arranged marriage romance between an Italian Mafia Boss and a woman who is just his match. For mature readers only.

IF YOU'RE FROM TIKTOK. STOP!!

YOU'VE BEEN BOOKFISHED!!

Plot holes. Time lines that don't make sense. Major grammar issues. Juvenile and immature writing style. Full of poor contradictions. And just a plot that makes no sense.

Needs HEAVY HEAVY editing.

yikes

This book has so many errors it’s crazy, the writing is so juvenile and immature and for the love of god can there please be a space between paragraphs.

*spoilers*

the kid was introduced as Ray Remano (lol everyone loves Raymond much?) but is called Ryan for the rest of the book.

My name isn’t Caleb… it is Caleb Milazzo??? Bruh so your name is Caleb.

Caleb just in general makes no sense, he was dating christy before Delilah even knew Carmine existed so how in the hell did he do all of that just to take his revenge on carmine out on her??? Timeline makes absolutely 0 sense. You’re gonna kill her professor so she can’t take a test… because that makes sense totally, not like there’s other tutors or replacement exams that happen.

Delilah for the love of god have a tiny backbone, ‘I could never love or want this man’…. 36 hours later and they’re basically confessing love to one another. SHE CHOKES ON BROCCOLI MAN. AND BIG BAD ‘THE DEVIL’ IS AT HIS WITS END SCARED TO LOSE HER BRUH THEY MET THAT MORNING.

this whole book was whack and needs an editor or 5.

Who doesn't love a messed up mofia boss?!?

Ok... So... If you don't mind having some cognitive dissonance- than Carmine is your man!

Tall ✓ Dark ✓ Handsome ✓ Sexy ✓ RIch ✓ Passionate ✓

Distrustful X Childhood Trauma X Obsessive x Possessive X Enjoys Killing X Vengeful X

You know... The "bad boys" we love reading about. Lol

But... He has something extra: 🗣️ vocal lover and has kinda of a Breeder/Pregnancy/Lactation 🤰 fetish with his wife. It's kinda hot 😸

Yummy quick read.

Needs some work but has potential

Not a bad story but the writing was a bit underdeveloped and immature. This book is instant everything and the hero is completely obsessed which I love. I think with time this author may become an automatic read of mine. Until then I will watch her grow.

I thought it was blah.

Delilah (virgin, stupid twat) has sold herself to Carmine (mafia boss) in order to save the life of her thieving father. 😒

Carmine wants a wife and an heir, so this is convenient for him. They end up falling in love, have lots of sex, kidnapping, family drama, yada yada, predictable.

There's nothing in this fic that makes me want to keep reading. I don't feel the need to continue this series, either.

I'm giving it a 2 because it's not the worst book I've read.

Finally

Ok here we go. This book was awful! Seriously don't bother. So many typos. Honestly I wouldn't give it a full star but you have to. It started out good, she wanted to help her dad, I get it. He's a big bad mafia boss, ok got it. He says she wants a challenge & he enjoys the chase. There was no challenge & there wasn't chase! Don't waste your time. On to the next!

It’s times like this I wish I had the power to go back in time and unread a book. I’m physically ill ! Nauseous, actually nauseous after reading this(I skipped a few chapters and skimmed through)
I’ll be okay if I never read the word “sweetling “ used as an endearment ever again. Also the grammar and the writing was horrible

Okay.

She wants to help her dad. Okay. Great. That's a start. Except it only goes downhill from there. I couldn't even finish Carmine's first chapter because it was so poorly written. It reads like "baby's first smut novel".

I think the author felt that they needed to get information across that wasn't pertinent to the story.

Delilah stands at his front gate, buzzes and demands to see Carmine:
“I’m Delilah Reynolds. His people shot up my house last night because my father owes him money. I need to talk to him.” Silence answers back, and then a growl. 'We didn’t know he had a daughter.' " <----- this is totally unnecessary and wouldn't happen. Really? Carmine's door lackey is telling some random woman this? It just wouldn't happen.

"Before calling the attorney who only works for me, I need to figure out the terms of our agreement..." <----- Why do we care that he only works for Carmine? We don't.

From the very little that I've read of this book, I already know it's going to be an absolute chore to finish it. I think the author maybe got one or two hits on AO3 and then decided that they're a novelist. Not worth it. Not a good read.

Alpha Possessive- Obsessive Male ☑️

I didn’t much care for Delilah. She gave Carmine a hard time anyway she was the one that went to him to save her father. Carmine was perfect! He’s a possessive baddy and takes care of what’s his. Delilah is a brat. She went to him for help. She agreed to the terms that he set and all she does is treat him like he’s the bad guy. He’s too good to her. He’s a mafia boss and he has to do what needs to be done to keep on top. She keeps giving him the cold shoulder and keeps holding everything over his head. This is what she agreed to do deal with it and move on. He’s stuck to his end of the bargain, which is all positive for her. He asked for simple things. A good wife, a baby, family. Yet she treats him like he is the monster. Another negative about her, to piss him off she brings up his brothers taking care of her sexual needs, that’s just wrong. She finally started treating him like a husband about 60% of the book, but don’t let my unhappiness with her change your mind. If you like the Hero hella possessive, you won’t want to miss this book.

⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️
Is this wattpad 2015?? I liked it but it was just to fast paced and very insta love and a bit cringe for me😬😂

The main man character in this was a bit over the top for my liking. He was overly protective as in any body so much as breathed the same air as her they were dead ☠️ they met in first chapter and he forced her in to an agreement and by chapter 2 he was in love with her!?!😬 and some of the things he was saying to her I couldn’t wrap my head round it🫨 he was just a bit too cringe for me especially when he was meant to be some big bad mafia don🤺

The main girl character in this was always relying on the man to save her and help her out of situations🫤 she was like a kid at time with some of the things she would say or do. At some parts in this book I actually got second hand embarrassment for them🫣

I don’t want this to be a bad review as I enjoyed reading the action and darker parts in this but it was way too wattpad 2015 for me! Cringe😬 I feel like it was just a bit too rushed, and when I got to the last chapter I thought ‘ they’re gunna leave me with all these loose ends’ but they didn’t they kinda of rushed it all out in one paragraph. I don’t regret reading it, it was like one of those books from time to time it’s good to read something like this in between more intense books📚 I mean I was a wattpad girlie which is why this got 3⭐️

Overall if you looking for something quick and easy to read in a day or 2 then give this a go🫶

So boring …

Mafia romance my 🍑

The thing I hated the most sweetling

sweetling this sweetling that it was so cringe 😬 I swear to god it’s my first time hearing this cringy word -Sweetling

I really laughed hard when I read his contract 🤣… he got mommy issues

She is to kiss me every night before we go to bed. The first time she initiates the kiss, every night after that, I will expect the said kiss. I re-read what I just wrote and toss my pen on the desk, staring at the sentence and trying to figure out why I’d want such an absurd term. Because I’ve never been kissed at night, not even on the cheek by my mother because my father killed her in a fit of rage.

This book gave me nothing …but only cringy moment …the guy was super childish nd bad ..he failed to give mafia vibes .. and the girl was super annoying too …

oh my great heavens. I have a terrible knack for reading terribly rated books. now how do I say this in the kindest way possible. how the heck did this get published with the amount of errors it had.
not only was I lost half of the time but the main characters name changed like 20 times I couldn't keep up. one day her name was Delilah the next she was bella.
and the love interest is a can of worms I opened and wish I could shut close.
I cannot beileve she was called sweetling.

Okay to be honest...I utterly disliked this book when first reading it! By page 13 I was very tempted to put the book down and never turn back. Because this book is only 230 pages give or take, you can very much tell that Rose was rushing and trying to compile a lot of plot into so little pages. The rushed sexual attraction between Carmine and Delilah, the sudden obsession Carmine formed towards Delilah, the quick realization from both parties that they were falling for each other, and then the out-of-the-blue reveal that Carmine and his twin brothers had another brother who was sold off to the Romano family - their enemies - when he was only an infant. Sorry, but that twist felt like it was thrown from left field and as a last attempt to make the book seem interesting.

The plot held a lot of potential. I don't understand why Rose chose to work with so few pages when the ideas she had were so big. I wish we saw more of why Delilah wanted to be a doctor, how Carmine handled his business rather than only seeing him ready to pull the trigger or being up under Delilah. In the book he is nicknamed “The Devil” but such was never focused on at any time in the book! Like cool title, but why exactly do you have it?? I think there definitely should have been more of an insight into these characters instead of the bare minimum (if I can even call it that). Plus, the spice wasn't that grand. There were a few things Carmine said during sex that had me confuzzled and kind of made me uninterested in reading the rest of the smutty scene happening before my eyes. And this man is supposed to be 41 years old but his actions and temperament contradict that by a lot! I get he has traumas but I feel like somewhere down the line, as a 41 year old, you should have a better handle on your emotions or simply not act like you’re a teenager. It completely threw me off as I read as I would randomly remember that this man is supposed to be 41. He just never acted his age! But I think that’s just me having my expectations too high for a book that had very few pages written regarding a couple that had a 20 year age gap.

Overall, this book had pretty good potential but fell really short upon execution. I wish Rose didn't limit herself to just 230 pages cause a plot that revolves around forced marriage and the mafia does not give off the vibe of a short story. The next book revolves around his younger brother Ari but I'm not gonna read it cause the plot is basically the same. He makes a deal with a girl where they will get married and she will carry his baby and, in return, he will protect her. I'll pass! The only reason why I finished this book so fast is that I didn't want to DNF a book that was so short (in short, it was my pride pushing me to finish) and also because I just wanted to be done with it as soon as possible so I could move on to a better book!
