All and all, this is a truly creative idea for a book of poetry. Bozek sets the reader up to explore a set of letters, documents, meditations & matchbook fragments found “while exploring a former wolf den in a rocky outcropping.” The book was published in 2009 and it still feels quite original and fresh.

Bozek works here in a vein of Dickinsonian concision and intensity, reminiscent of Brock-Broido, but driven more by image & meaning clusters, less by voice. What do we call this luxe, mystic, enticing style--the new lang po? If I were a more enthusiastic person I'd be all over this book, but I find myself pulling back. . .
