Rate this book
It's not easy living with your parents. Just ask Little Buggy. He is so mad at Big Buggy that he's running away from home. With the help of two ants, Little Buggy finds a cozy shoe where he can sleep, some food to eat, and even a cough drop in case he gets sick. But when the sky turns dark and his friends must leave, Little Buggy wonders if home isn't so bad after all.
Popular illustrator Kevin O'Malley has created another hilarious and emotionally resonant Little Buggy adventure, perfect for kids who are eager to test their independence--and for parents who are helping them handle it.

Fun book about being mad enough at someone to run away from home, with bugs as characters. Great expressions on the bug's faces, large book, and large scale close-up art from the bugs' perspective makes it good for sharing or a storytime on feelings.

A little bug (ladybug, it seems) is angry and runs away. Two ants follow him and offer him helpful tips and assistance. The lightning bugs help with a reunion once evening comes between the buggy and his daddy.

Illustrations are super cute.

What does a little buggy do when he is upset at big buggy? Well, Of course he runs away. Read the adventurous story of buggy on his adventure at trying to run away. Big buggy and his friend follow little buggy around in hopes of convincing him to come back. As the story develops, something friendship/ love is stronger and in the end it all words out. The pictures are very colorful, buggy is a cute little lady bug with a mad expression. I think anyone would enjoy this book. So gather around your teacher or mother and start reading this adventure.

This is a fun graphic novel for children. It features an adorable little insect called Little Buggy who wants to express his independence. I did not realize that there's another book with this character, Little Buggy. We'll have to check that one out at our local library. We enjoyed reading this book together.

This story was about a grumpy little lady bug who was trying to run away from home. Through out the book other bugs try to help the grumpy bug and he finds himself lonely when he is by himself. This book was a cute book for children. The pictures and bugs in the picture were full of color, that would draw a child's attention. I enjoyed the book, but some children may find it hard to follow because of the conversation bubbles throughout the book.

I like this book almost in spite of myself: the art is a little blunt and the language kind of forgettable. However, Little Buggy's emotional journey (yeah, I wrote that) unfolds clearly enough for even very young children to follow along, and the conflict between parent and child is something any family can relate to.

This book has fuelled some good conversations between my kids and I about forgiveness and patience, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The story wasn't all there for me. For a children's book this one required a lot of explaining. It wasn't that is was a conversation starter because that is often good in a children's book. The problem was that my daughter just didn't get what was going on. The dialogue just wasn't enough for her to understand. The art was lovely and the comic book word bubbles were fun.
