Does what it says on the tin
Short - and to the point - rough guide to Corfu. A storied island so perhaps inevitable that the history section is a bit of a bric a brac as there is a lot to cover… Ancient Greeks, Romans, Venetians, the French, the Russians - and so on - all the way to the Brits and eventually back to Greece again.
Like most guidebooks from the major series-based publishers the authors do their best to be ‘of the moment’ - as another edition is presumably always in the works. This however does also tend to mean some oddities work their way in - but as the series title suggests - it should merely be taken as a ‘rough guide’. Enjoy.
