God's Story Revealed: A Guide for Understanding the Old Testament

by Stephen J. Lennox

Many people want to read the Bible but have trouble knowing where to begin and making sense of what they are reading. God's Story Revealed is a concise introduction to the Old Testament that makes God's Word accessible to the average reader. Opening chapters give the reader the big picture of God's plan for his people and an introduction to the ancient world. Lennox then guides the reader through each book of the Old Testament, offering tips on how to read, an overview of the content, and specific help for understanding key events, ideas, and passages. Each chapter includes sidebars that dig deeper into the content and put key facts such as authorship and date at eye level. Questions for application and discussion are included.
