Lisbeth Zwerger should be a household name, but isn't, which is sad.

Lonely kittens are sad as well, but for some reason, they don't make me as sad as the fact that Lisbeth Zwerger isn't a household name.

This book collects pieces from a bunch of her books. It's well worth the price. It should sit on your coffee table, open and adored.

a collection of zwerger’s work (even including some childhood drawings). i think she grows into her own in the time between thumbeline and the nightingale, the innate elegance of her pictures becomes more pronounced and her use of color is much better. of course, she is always a master of free space. overall: pretty, but the storybooks themselves are better additions to the library.
