She’s hiding from her past and recreating her childhood. What could possibly go wrong?!
When a university librarian they barely remember leaves three unrelated women incredible estates in her will, the women become Surprise Heiresses.
Book 3: Ivy Connors has been hiding from her celebrity childhood for ten long years. When she inherits a decaying and fabulous oil baron’s estate on the Canadian border, she decides she’ll use this opportunity to recreate the traditional childhood she didn’t get.
Lance Tucker is ready to be the knight in shining armor to Ivy’s emotional adolescence. But Lance has issues of his own—and a guy that good looking already has more than a few damsels in distress to rescue. Ivy’s fairy tale gets a little wobbly.
Every girl needs a pony, and every pony needs a pet horse. Although Ivy just wants to hide from the world, with all this going on, she finds it hard to remain incognito after she Vanished Into Thin Heiress—a sexy romantic comedy.
Pru Warren (who is writing this in the third person as if simply too modest to toot her own horn) bores easily and thus has been a daydreamer since roughly the Bronze Age.
She is addicted to writing romcoms because in a novel, you can make things come out the right way. Life and karma really ought to take note. There are better solutions to these pesky daily annoyances!
Besides her in-the-laptop god complex, Pru laughs often and easily, loathes cooking, and plays way too much solitaire. She’s plotting world domination even as you read this, as long as she doesn’t have to wake up too early to accomplish it.
Carpets of tree-lined rolling hills. Chill wintry nights and marshmallows roasting on an open fire. A perfect dream, but not one Ivy Connors ever imagined as a red-hot child musical star living under the thumb of a domineering stage mother. But when fate, in the guise of an inheritance from a beloved mentor who took Ivy under her wing at college, lands her on a sprawling but crumbling estate near the Canadian border, Ivy decides that Victoria Falls might be her first and last chance to live out her childhood fantasies. Enthusiastic high schoolers, a crazy hippie fortune-teller, a beloved pony, and a gorgeous younger man attracted to her, not even knowing her background, all quickly fill her days with candy-like fluff. But eventually Ivy comes to realize that she is now a grown woman, with a grown woman’s needs. Can she trust a man who tempts her both to acknowledge her musical talents and move on from her past, or will she stubbornly hide from her own desires? Vanished into Think Heiress is the perfect trip into a make-believe paradise that turns out to hold down-to-earth treasures and the perfect end to a wonderful trio of romantic comedies. I am grateful to the author for an early review copy of this book.
To the point review: Former pop star, small town, new life, mystery and spice!!!
My fangirl review (as screeched in fangirl voice) : PLOT TWIST!!! I should say more than one plot twist!!! I thought I saw the first one coming, just from knowing how the author writes. And I was so happy to see it happen. The last plot twist blew me away and left me wanting more!!! Like OMG I screeched so loud my family looked at me weird. It just left me grinning so much!!!!
I loved this couple. They both had to learn about them selves before they could really be together. They were so amazing together, the spice was h-o-t-t hot!
Boring but necessary review: This is the third and final book in the series, but can be read as a complete standalone. Everything you need to know will be given to you, you will just have met the other girls briefly before and will know a bit more about some of the secondary characters. I really hope we get a spin off series, that was hinted at!!! Write faster Pru please!!!!
Vanished into Thin Heiress is a fun read. I really enjoyed this one. This is Ivy's book in the series. I love that she is still close to Grace and Hannah. They formed this wonderful sisterhood through all of their shared challenges. Ivy inherited a castle and doesn't hesitate to jump right in to relive her missing childhood. Ivy is hiding a big secret and once that comes out you understand why she wants to relive her childhood. You feel for Ivy when it comes to her relationship with her mom Cherry. Ivy's love intertest may come of a surprise but it makes so much sense. This one takes your heart all over the place and I just loved it. I love that there is a little hint of more to come fingers crossed that there will be another 3 new heiresses. Go and click this book and series today and just relax with these fun cute reads.
The last in this series and Pru saved the best for last! 5 stars for this one! Ivy has been living a quiet life as a teacher, until she's left the Victor's Den in Victoria Falls. It needs a lot of work, but she decides she's going to get back the years she missed growing up while living here by reliving her childhood on her terms. She's been hiding something from everyone, and the last thing she wants is her mother to find her here. Sandy has been meeting via virtual with the three women, but when he decides to rent from Ivy, sparks fly between them. But he's got a lady friend, who's not a nice person to Ivy when she's there, it opens his eyes to the the kind of woman he doesn't want and see's the one he does. This is the conclusion to this series, and a lot will be revealed here so enjoy as you find out why these three women were chosen as heirs to the librarians will.
After reading books 1 and 2 in The Surprise Heiress Series, I could not wait to read Vanished Into Thin Heiress. In fact, I finished it in one setting. And while I don't want to say it was the best of the three, because that isn't true, I think I enjoyed it the most because it wrapped up the story in the perfect way.
The Surprise Heiress Series is the same main event, during the same time frame, but from three different characters. The way Pru Warren intertwined their stories throughout the books was simply perfect. Book 2 gave me a greater understanding of some of the events of book 1. And book 3 wrapped it all up. Now I can't wait to start over for the full picture.
And I can only hope there is another series in the works ... please, oh please.
As a student at Rowley University, Ivy Connors used to pretend that rare books librarian Miss Violet Coopersmith was the grandmother she'd never had. Years later, it comes as a shock when Ivy is invited to a mysterious meeting at an upscale Manhattan law firm and informed that the recently deceased Miss C. was a secret millionaire who'd named Ivy and two other young women who attended Rowley in her will. Ivy's inheritance is a vast property in upstate New York called the Victor's Den, worth nearly $50 million. If she accepts, the property is hers to do with as she wishes, though the will stipulates that she must live there for a full year before she can sell. If she refuses the inheritance or fails to fulfill the terms of the will, the property will be sold immediately with the proceeds donated to Rowley. Ivy decides to accept and spend the next year recreating the childhood experiences she missed while living life in the spotlight as a teen pop star. Could getting in touch with her inner child be the key to Ivy's future happiness?
Unlike the first two books of the series which were told in dual first-person POV, this story was narrated solely from Ivy's perspective. I usually prefer dual POV, but in this case, focusing on Ivy was a good choice because her character arc outside of the romance was so important. There was so much for her to come to terms with in her past, and it wasn't easy for her to find her place in the world. Her unexpected love interest played a critical role in helping Ivy integrate the good parts of her old life with the new life she was trying to build. I never would have predicted that she'd end up with that person, but they made a surprisingly great couple, and I have to admit that I was rooting for them even before it became clear that there was something between them.
Overall, "Vanished Into Thin Heiress" was a wonderful conclusion to the Surprise Heiress series and I highly recommend it for all romantic comedy fans. I look forward to whatever Pru Warren writes next.
*Review copy provided by the author. All opinions expressed are my own.
This is the third book in the Surprise Heiress series and while it could be read as a standalone, a reader would definately benefit from being familiar with the previous 2 books. This was by far and away my favourite of the series. I loved the setting, I loved the characters and I loved the storyline of new beginnings. The finding of the 'treasure' at the Victor's Den added a touch of realistic poignancy that resonated, along with the detail in the authors notes at the end. I really liked that all 3 of these books run concurrently and occupy the same timeline, from different perspectives. Overall, a great way to end this trilogy with the Epilogue really leaving it open to perhaps more in the future.
Love Me, Not My Fame - isn't that the theme song for every celebrity ever? The author plays it really well in this story of a child star in hiding. I enjoyed the part about Ivy reclaiming her childhood by living what she had not been allowed to live, once she got a chance to live in "Fairyland". Talk about a dream come true! I really loved how Ivy was able to make herself complete in her own way on her own terms and own it. If only.... What an awesome read to recommend to high school girls! (Of course, the older girls only - steamy scenes herein!)
I received an ARC from the author and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
The final Sisterhood Legacy story was just as entertaining as its predecessors. Ivy has lived several lives prior to inheriting the Victors Den property. As she relives her missed childhood, she finds strength in herself and her attraction to Sandy. Sandy has previously lived a predictable life, something about Ivy has him rethinking that direction as she brings out joy and happiness. Eventually they get their HEA, but Ivy finds her mettle and her hopes and dreams. Such a fun trilogy of stories.

This series improved with each edition. The first was a fairly decent read but had issues, the second was a much better told tale with engaging characters but this third, “Vanished Into Thin Heiress,” was a delightful, lighthearted but touching story and was again laced with humor and charm.
I loved this book. Ivy and Lance made an irresistible couple that had me all up in my feels. Their story is cute and fun but also jammed packed full of heart. Prepare to swoon, prepare to laugh and prepare to fall. And I mean fall hard. This is my independent, impartial review.
The first two books were fun romps. Book 3 worked the best tho. This plot and its progression were very solid. So I could enjoy the beautiful silliness without concern!! So nice.
I loved all the Surprise Heiress books, but this one had me paging through the other two to check for all the connections that were revealed, and sure enough, there they were! Now I need to read the other two again. Super fun, charmingly quirky - highly recommended!
A delightful third book in a series about 3 young women, each of whom had inherited a property from an almost unremembered college librarian, who was an expert in investing. Each property has some hidden feature that made the librarian decide to invest in it. The women need to figure out what that feature is. The librarian's nephew is overseeing the conditions of the inheritances. He's starchy and stiff, yet Ivy seems to crack his brittle veneer when he visits her property in very far northern New York.
Ivy is keeping a secret. She didn't have much of a childhood and when the property ignites her childish delight, she's ready to revisit her early years. In her persona as a young girl, she is able to put off the advances of an extremely attractive young man. Although younger than her chronological age, he certainly seems to be a catch.
We learn Ivy's secret, share her innermost fears and her hopes for the future. This is a fun story but it does have some explicit sex so I recommend this for mature readers.
I received an advance reader copy of this book. This is my honest review.
What an absolute gem of a book! Ivy is living a life she hadn't been able to enjoy when younger and now, with her out of the blue inheritance from Miss Coppersmith, a woman she knew and both loved and respected, she has the chance of a quick 'do over.' All the hints from the previous books, of place and people, pale into nothing when we really find out what she has inherited. More than a series of buildings, she finds a wonderful legacy, a breath taking landscape, new adventures, delightful, if occasionally nutty, companions, especially Euclid and Pythagorus and opportunities which open up her heart and creativity. Ivy is fabulous. I have loved each heroine of this series, but Ivy is, by a nose (😉) my favourite. Just don't tell Grace and Hannah please. I will raise a glass to Pru Warren for weaving three wonderful warm, witty tales that burrow into your heart and leave you feeling infinitely better than when you started. Not to be missed. 💖💖💖💖💖
