Overall, Maxton Hall was a nice and enjoyable read. I really liked the interactions between the characters—the emotions and feelings were portrayed well and added depth to the story. However, one thing I didn’t enjoy as much was the structure of the trilogy. Each book continues directly from the previous one, making it feel more like one long book split into three parts. I would have preferred a bit of time or space between the books to let things develop more naturally.

The ending also felt a bit rushed. I would have liked a deeper look into each character’s life, maybe through a more detailed epilogue. Another thing that stood out to me was how James’s father was turned into a sort of “villain”. His downfall happened very quickly and easily—I was expecting more tension or conflict in that part. Overall, though, the series had strong emotional moments and engaging character dynamics.

Naja, wie auch immer, ich habe die Zeit natürlich sofort genutzt, um endlich den letzten Teil der Maxton Hall Reihe fertig zu lesen und hier meine Rezension:

Zuerst das Wichtigste: Ich liebe diese Bücher! Zuerst wollte ich nur Save me lesen und nach dem Ende war es mir aber unmöglich, nicht weiterzulesen. Sie haben mich von Anfang an fasziniert und in ihren Bann gezogen. ❤️

Die Protagonisten sind extrem gut gewählt und haben sich im Laufe der Bücher immer weiterentwickelt, sodass der Leser sich immer besser in sie hineinversetzen konnte und sie immer sympathischer wurden. Vor allem, wie James sich und seine Sicht auf das Leben komplett auf den Kopf gestellt hat, hat mich sehr beeindruckt.

Aber auch die Antagonisten mochte ich sehr gerne. Sowohl die Freunde von James waren mir alle sehr sympathisch als auch Lin, Ember, Lydia und Graham. Wie jeder sein eigenes Päckchen zu tragen und mit seinen Problemen zu kämpfen hat, und doch alles irgendwie zusammehängt.

Mein persönlicher Lieblingscharakter war Ember. Ich habe sie immer für ihren Mut und auch ihre Arbeit mit ihrem Blog sehr bewundert. Außerdem mochte ich es wie positiv sie ist und auch ihre Schlagfertigkeit. 🌸

Was ist euer Lieblingscharakter?

Die Trilogie gehört nun definitiv zu meinen Lieblingsbüchen und deshalb bekommt sie von mir auch 5/5⭐️!

Me entretuvo mucho, para ser una trilogía de romance me gustó y me pasa con muy pocas la verdad si lo recomiendo, aún q la serie me gustó mas.
Puntos q me gustaron:
✓evolucion de James de algunos personajes como cambiaba su forma de pensar y entre otras cosas
✓personalidad para todos (hasta los secundarios)
Hace muchoooo que leí los libros pero me había olvidado calificarlos y en lugar de hacerlo uno por uno (no me acuerdo mucho), tengo recuerdos de yo disfrutando mucho el libro así q lo recuerdo para unas 4 estrellas

- the father needs to DIE
- rather than 3 separate books, this trilogy felt more like one super long book the ending is always connect to the next one
- third book has so many pov it gets confusing, some povs r really unnecessary
- overall ok

Honestly, I was expecting a lot more from the books after the buzz the tv shows created in Prime. The books are fine, nothing more. Three light stories, with little depth, with characters a bit bland, but ok, passable. Frankly, I think Prime has done the trilogy a great favor. For the first time in a long time, I have to say that the tv show is much better than the book...
