Primrose Thatcher has spent her entire life in a cage. Always looking through golden bars until she can finally escape.
College is bliss, her only form of freedom, filled with dangerous games and thrilling adventures she finds joy in. But when her mother becomes sick, she’s forced back in her gilded cage once more. Her mother’s death causes her to shift from one cage to another. His cage.
Vance De Luca. Ruthless mafia heir. The devil. And my new husband.
They say better the devil you know, but it turns out… she never truly knew hers. Until now.
M.T. Morgan lives in Texas with her husband and two children. She enjoys reading a good fantasy/PNR romance as well as a good cup of coffee. She has old lady tendencies even though she's in her mid-twenties. And writing her own bio is very cringe worthy to her.
M.T. Morgan tends to bounce around the romance genre. She may make you laugh, cry and cringe. It just depends on her mood.
This started off well. Vance was giving boy obsessed...until he wasn't. Istfg I was so close to DNFing this book towards the end after reading about Vance's fuck up. But then obv I continued reading and found out that things weren't the way they looked. I still feel like that drama at the end was hella unnecessary along with the fact that Primrose's trauma wasn't written well. It felt so unrealistic since trauma survivors - especially rape survivors - take a long time to heal from a traumatic situation, which is why I feel the PTSD wasn't portrayed well. Also Vance should have gotten down on his knees and grovelled his ass off honestly. Primrose deserved better. Periodt.
This is really a 4.5 star rating for me! I love Vance and Primrose. They both meet in college and Vance falls for Primrose immediately (this happens in book one which is Brixley and Beckets story). Primrose pushes Vance away. She had a traumatic past and doesn’t see how she could have a future with Vance. Vance also has some past trauma which Primrose is able to help him work through. There is danger, and mystery. Vance is so obsessed with her that he makes it so she is his forever. It’s highly recommended to read book 1 first which is We Dance in Sin
This is a very dark romance. Tropes include molestration, bondage, abuse, murder, violence, rape, dun-con.
What a book! Poor Prim, she gets the short end of the stick but boy does Vance love her. Emotional roller coaster for these two😭 Loved this book, can't wait for more of the series.
M.T. Morgan delivers yet another outstanding story with the second book in the 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 and this time it's Vance De Luca and Primrose Thatcher's time to shine.
𝗪𝗲 𝗩𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝗶𝗻, is a dark mafia arranged marriage romance that takes us even deeper into the elite world of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝗳𝗶𝘁𝘀 and the dangerous life of the De Luca mafia family. The 𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗧 between Vance and Primrose was 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗘 and I have been 𝗢𝗕𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗗 with these two since the first book, so the moment I found out that they were the featured couple in book two, I just couldn't wait to get my hands on it!
Vance De Luca is that quintessential dark alpha mafia hero that falls in love with the sweet hearted Primrose Thatcher, who wants nothing to do with him. She is the light to his darkness, and he is determined to make her is...𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥. When he chooses her as his future bride, she wants nothing to do with the little arrangement, but soon her heart starts to fall for him, but will he ever really open his up full for her?
Fall in love with all the twists and turns of this dark mafia arranged marriage romance because trust me...there are plenty of them around every corner. I loved every moment and now I can't wait to get my hands on the next book in 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀' 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀!
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is a dark romance. You will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. It might contain triggers for some readers. This is the story of Vance and Primrose. Oh gosh Primrose. This poor girl never catches a break and just when she might thinks she has, bam, something else happens. I really felt for her and now she is about to be stuck in a marriage that she really doesn't want to have anything to do with. Vance is working really hard to become the had of the DeLuca mafia and to do that he has to be married. Primrose has a father that is very in dept to the DeLuca's and to save him from this dept, Vance is going to take Primrose as his wife. Gosh I don't even know where to start. I really felt for Primrose. The girl never really has had any choices in her life and now she is about to be married to a man she never in a million years would choose. However she is going to discover that she is stronger than she thinks and can take care of herself. It was really great to watch her stand up and go toe to toe with Vance at times. He is this really tough man that seems to care about absolutely nothing and no one. However he does have a heart and that heart beats only for Primsrose. He would absolutely burn the world down for her but he gives her very mixed signals all the time with some of his actions. I don't want to say anything more and give something away. I really loved this book. It was a great read that you do not want to miss. However I would advise reading We Dance In Sin so that you get the full story.
Trigger Warnings include: molestation, bondage, abuse, murder, torture, rape, dubcon, kidnapping, stalker tendencies (many of these are done in detail on page)
The lies we tell each other will be our downfall, I just know it.
This jumps in right after We Dance in Sins, which I haven’t read, but I never felt like I was missing information. Even with everything going on from before, and where we catch up with them, Primrose knows Vance looks at her like she’s his only weakness, and I knew right there I needed more of him. All of them. After having to return to her cage, Vance jumps in to pull her right back out, because he won’t allow it. Vance has cared for her, taught her, protected her, saved her, and that wasn’t about to change. No matter the circumstances or consequences. As long as he had her. I loved the “we’re platonic and nothing more” lies they told themselves. Gave me a good giggle. And so did his lack of hesitation when it came to putting someone in their place when they talked down to Primrose. I loved their back and forth, even when she pretended to despise him. It was almost comforting. But their games…man did I want to wring their necks! And that urge started in the prologue! Because of their pasts, and the way it’s bleeding into their present, my heart was broken for them. And the heart breaks kept coming, as they kept taking one step forward and three steps back. I should have kept a tally to see whose heart broke more, one of theirs or mine. Because it’s a close call! For everything I loved, there were small things that annoyed me. Some things felt rushed, while others felt drawn out and took up too much time.

My Favorite Quotes: • “Feeling feisty, baby girl? You know that makes me hard. So, by all means, fight me.” • “Already addicted to what I can give you?” • “Watch as your body leaks with sex appeal, how mine feasts off of it.” • “Whatever demons you face I will conquer.” • “Keep touching me a little longer.” • “I’ve been torturing someone all day and you ask if I want to make love? No, but I’ll f!ck you until you’re hoarse from screaming my name.” • “When I get out of these restrains, you’re f!cked.” • “Decided I wanted to carry you with me forever.”
9/10 Dirty Birdy 8/10 Arranged Marriage 9/10 Dark Romance 8/10 Mafia Romance
Tropes: Mafia, arranged marriage, enemy to lover, wallflower, dark romance, secret society, college romance
Review: Primrose and Vance are the epitome of good girl and bad boy trope. Vance is the head or soon to be head of the mafia syndicate and Primrose is a shy wallflower who is quiet and blends into the shadows.
This book centered around Vance coming to terms with his feelings and accepting that Primrose could handle his world. It also reflected with him showing her how string she was and not to be overcome by the shadows.
Primrose irritated me at first since she was so against her feelings and did not see her inner strength. I really began liking her character when she became pregnant since her inner backbone came out.
For me the best part of the book was how much Vance’s parents and Primrose’s friends supported her when Vance messed up. Seeing the love they had for her and how they told him to fix it was a WIN for me. I also enjoyed the old faces and seeing what was going on.
I did not like Vance about half way through since he became a major tool. But he quickly came around and realized his mistakes. My only complaint is wanting more from his POV and maybe more with Brixley and him again.
Can anyone say we are waiting for the forbidden romance coming for a possible book 3?
Rating: 3.5/5 for me. I had issues with the resolution and how fast it came but lived for the intense scenes.
Oh wow this series has been intense for sure. If you are easily triggered then I suggest you be cautious with this series because it has many triggering things in its pages. This is the second book in the series and I have to say it has to be read in order or you will be lost. This begins right where we left off in the first book. Primrose and Vance i mean I could not read their story fast enough. I needed to know who was out to get them both. I had my suspicions but I needed confirmation. I’m not going to say much so I can’t give it away but oh boy I literally was on the edge of my seat while reading this. Oh and what the actual hell that decision Vance decides to throw at us left me reeling I wanted to throw my kindle. This series had me feeling some type of way that for sure I just can’t describe if it was mad happy frustrated shell shocked or all combined. This book is one you must definitely read it’s dark and emotional and addictive you can’t put it down. Highly recommend.
Whilst reading Beckett and Brixleys story, instantly Vance was my favourite and I knew his and Primroses story would be a clash of thunder in my little heart! I was not disappointed!
Vance is intense. Especially when it comes to Primrose, after what happened at the end of the first book Prim has retreated into herself, scared of looking in the mirror and rejecting Vances help, he decides to force her into an arranged marriage using his mafia connections. Dramatic I know I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t obsessed 👀
The connection they have is undeniable and their sexual chemistry is 🔥 I wanted to be mad at Vance for some of the choices he made but he was just trying to protect his love and I can’t fault him for that. It was fun seeing Prim go against his wishes and watching him punish her for it afterwards.
There was a niggle for me which is probably me being picky but something happens to Primrose and we don’t get to see much of a response from her afterwards in terms of emotions/turmoil, it felt a little brushed over.
What I love about this series is that each couple has their own theme/tropes all whilst being connected in the same world /friendship group. I can’t wait for the last couples book now and all the stepsibling forbidden goodness it’ll bring 😈
Where to even start with this phenomenal read! MT Morgan absolutely delivers when it comes to these characters in the Sinners’ Playground series! My mind can’t even put together I’m words how much I enjoyed this read!
We Vow in Sin is an arranged marriage, dark college romance that will have you screaming over the angst! These characters go through it all. Vance is such a broody alpha who has a deep obsession. Primrose is a light to his darkness who finds her inner strength to put up with his wild and frustrating need to keep her. The angst between these two are wild. It is so so steamy and so smutty good! I love how MT Morgan adds the banter between this group of friends to add a lightness to the book. This book was absolutely wild and fast paced. I devoured the entire thing and did not put it down.
This book is definitely not for the faint hearted. I also recommend to read book one in the series, We Dance In Sin, before reading this book. I revoke this book if you are a lover of dark romance and dirty talking broody alphas!
This is book 2, they could be read as standalones, but the story will make a lot more sense if you read We Dance in Sin first. There are references to events that happened in that book in this one, so just read it first :) Also, mind the trigger warnings, there are several events described in detail that could be triggering.
This is Vance and Primrose's book. Vance is working to become head of the DeLuca mafia. In order to become head of the mafia, he needs to be married. He is taking and marrying Primrose, saving her father from a debt that he owes. Primrose is rocked by a number of events at the beginning of the book: her arranged marriage, her mother passes away and she's still recovering from the events of the previous book. Reading the two of them negotiating all that, their feelings for each other and their situations in a larger sense was like watching a movie!
Vance -- all dark hero with a soft spot for only one person, Primrose. Well, and his sister, but it's different with her. Vance would literally burn the world for Prim, but he also does things for her and to her that make you question how he really feels. Keep reading, he's really squishy on the inside for her!
Primrose -- In the beginning of the story, she's going along because she's reeling and has no choice. Watching her realize that she can take care of herself with her found family was inspiring. She stands toe to toe with Vance, especially when she feels like he left her behind, even using his own parents as a shield.
It was a five star book for me till the rape chapter...after that all went downhill, he separates and divorces her with not a single talk about what she's feeling and after he finds out about the baby she moves in with him immediately? who would do that after being divorced and finding out that he already has a new fiance? nobody, that's who! and what was the rape's meaning in the story because she doesn't have a single thought about it and it was not done by a single man, but multiple, so why? and after being separated because he thought she was better protected without him, he says: "Primrose, I don’t want you to live somewhere else with our child. I want you both with me so I can protect you. I want to raise him like we’re a real family. I know what I did was rash, and you don’t understand", we don't either!
in the end he didn t divorce her, but the separation was real and still for nothing.
and the villain it is who i guessed from the start and you will also see it from miles away! so when the big reveal happens is like...ok, so? the H is a mafia man but doesn't do anything to the aunt who tormented him? who does that? and works with the son of the said tormentor? yeah, stupid, stupid! and what about his aversion o being touched? yep, not another word about it! and he is brixley's brother but she has no discussion or relation with his parents...odd, odd, odd!
in the end all end well and we have a well deserved HEA...

We Vow in Sin is book 2 in the Sinners’ Playground. It is a dark mafia, arranged marriage romance. Primrose is a good girl, happy to read and sew. She has a ton of trauma, loss and grief that she has to deal with a short time. She seems broken. Vance is one of my favourite made men! He is cold and calculating. He’s powerful and ruthless. And a possessive alphahole! He has had to deal with trauma in his past that has him hardened into the De Luca Devil. He is set to take over as head of the De Luca mafia, but needs a wife. This story was action packed! It had a lot going on and kept you reading to see what would happen next. I enjoyed Vance’s roughness and primal play when it came to Primrose. Although I wasn’t a fan of Primrose, Vance certainly kept my attention, even with his idiotic decisions. I also loved his family. The banter between Vance and Brixley was so fun, and his parents were such a great addition to this story. We Vow in Sin is violent and dark. It’s spicy and emotional at times, dealing with some very difficult topics. Be sure to check those trigger warnings.
I have gotten sucked into The Misfits world and I never want to leave!!!
I’m not going to lie after reading the first book of this series I didn’t think anything could come close to it…how wrong I was!! We Vow In Sin was everything and more. I wasn’t expecting the direction this story went in. It’s what a dark romance is made of. M.T. Morgan did a phenomenal job with this story. She knows what she is doing when she writes. She always delivers!!!!
Vance and Prim are totally not what you’re expecting. In the best way. He’s this bad boy with I don’t care attitude and she’s the sheltered girl. They surprised me so much. One thing out of many I loved the most about this story was how she didn’t just let the events from book 1 be forgotten especially because it did affect all of the characters. She mentioned them and we got to see how it truly affected them and I absolutely love that.
I can’t wait to see what M.T. Morgan comes up with next!
Wow! This is a newer author to me but I did start on the second book of this series but really it didn't bother me. I do suggest though you start with the first one. Now this one yes does have triggers and it is dark mafia based. But your in for a great story.
He's the soon to be mafia boss as he's the chosen one but Vance does have a weakness only few know she's his light primrose. He's been her quiet protector but when summer lets out and she doesn't take him up on the offer to drive her home he comes up with a plan.
Primrose is quiet but tortured in her own way her face scared from saving her best friend is about to face even more. But what she never thought was Going to be like this sold off like a worth less price of furniture to marry the man who is the devil
You want to know how prim rose and Vance make things work or not. Well grab this one and dive in. I know I was a gonner once I started and needed to know more
Im going to be BRUTALLY honest… the only reason this book doesn’t get a 5⭐️ from me (which is pretty damn easy) was because of that scene. Like I get trigger warnings, but I feel like this specific scene should’ve have its own. Like I don’t feel like I have any limits, abuse being one of them, but what the fuck? I even skipped it.
If I delete that scene from the book, and literally process it as easy as Prim did then I can tell you the book is fire. The story line is good, and definitely should be read with the others, and PLEASE READ THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!! ⚠️
Also, I did love Vance. But why in the world would he not grow up. I get they are all in college and still, I felt his immaturity was beyond what I normally like… Now I don’t think this will be my full review… so Full RTC… I just needed to vent and from reading other reviews, we were all just as shocked.
I literally was listening to “pop happy” music and I couldn’t even stomach it lol, had to take a break
Primrose thought she was finally free when she started college. But then she caught Vance’s eye. When her mother dies, Primrose finds herself married to Vance before she can think. Yet again she feels trapped. She tries hard to resist her new husband but she’s been drawn to him since day one. But married to the mafia heir isn’t all fun and games. When her life is endangered Vance must make a choice to protect the woman he loves but soon comes to realise he’s made a mistake. Can he fix it before it’s too late or has he lost her forever?
Ohhhhtge drama in this one!! This had me laughing, fanning myself and in tears at various stages during this book. I think Vance is my favourite of these guys, will take a lot to beat him because I’m a sucker for a Mafia boss who’s weak for his woman! I loved Vance and Primrose’s story. I knew it was going to be good but this was beyond!! Bring on book three!!
No. Just no. Primrose was 50/50 for me. I loved her character, but she had too many mood switches between being a baddie and being a people pleaser. Like pick a side! Is she a baddie or a pushover?? Her character was a little too weak and indecisive for this book IMO. I hated Vance. Like the entire time. I loved his character in the first book, so I went into this one with better expectations, but I was let down. His character was too back and forth with Prim. Everything about him and the story was very anticlimactic. The story had so much potential and when I thought it was picking up it just fell again. The story had holes and gaps and too many branches. I couldn't really tell the main plot of the book because I thought it was more in continuation with the first one, but it wasn't. I feel like a lot of scenes weren't satisfying. Maybe because there were too many plot holes. But like I said — this story had so much potential! 2/5 stars ⭐⭐
"I love how obsession just sneaks up on you. Like a snake bite, the venom sinking into your bloodstream before you even know you've been bitten."
I am glad that I continued this series! I enjoyed this book much more than the first. I feel like the writing improved and did not feel as immature. Vance and Primrose's relationship had me constantly wanting to read more. I love a bad boy who is madly in love and a girl who is hurt but independent. This book made me feel all the emotions.
My heart hurt for Primrose and I really liked that there was a part of the story that was not your "cliché" story. I really enjoyed watching their relationship develop, fall apart, and then come back stronger. Vance is definitely a "touch her and die" character and I loved every minute of it.
M.T. Morgan did a great job once again with portraying the trauma these characters experienced and making it in my opinion realistic with their responses to those traumas.
I devoured this baby in just under 3 hours & loved every second. We Dance In Sin was absolutely addicting, I couldn’t get enough of it, the spooky setting & the mystery around everything, so I couldn’t wait to read We Vow In Sin. It’s definitely just as good, there were several times I wanted to really smack Vance, & my heart literally dropped to my stomach at one point, but I knew everything would be ok. I had a feeling who was out to get Vance & Primrose, & I was right- BUT I definitely didn’t see Vance’s decision coming. That totally took me for surprise & I wanted to scream at him. This book was absolutely crazy, dark, & definitely triggers if things bother you- BUT IT’S SO WORTH READING!!! I really recommend reading book 1 first to fully know what’s going on & get a back story.
"TRIGGER WARNING" If you like romances dark and slightly twisted with an overprotective male, you will love Vance, there is no denying the chemistry, which, believe me, is Hot, Hot, Hot, between him and Primrose, making, We Vow in Sin, a deeply engrossing read, set against a backdrop of mystery and suspense which keeps you engrossed in this story from start to finish.
The only downside for me was there is one section in the book which I can't get my head around, although it sort of goes with the theme of the story, for the impact it has, I believe the emotional fallout would have been more, it felt like this happened, let's move on, which wouldn't really be the case, but other than that a must-read.
Morgan has become one of my top favorite people and authors since she first started writing and each book she gives me has me swooning for her fictional characters!
Vance the mafia prince he is so dark and broody I don’t think anyone could of brought him some light but Primrose definitely broke down some barriers, in that black dark heart of his. The push and pull between them is soo damn good I love it hot and cold 😉 The panty melting moments * chefs kiss* As always Morgan likes to give you some plot twists and your like ggggiiiirrrrllll… this book was soo good and I sat down and devoured it all! I absolutely have made Vance a book boyfriend 😂
Vance and Primrose are one very intense couple and I love it.
The stuff that Primrose goes through is intense and you are definitely going to want to check the CW. But after everything she goes through she comes out on top.
Vance is the dark MC that you can’t help to fall for. Like he would do anything for her and the way he tells her she is the only one for him. He is twisted but in the best way.
Absolutely loved this one. It was a quick and fast read. This is the second in the series I would recommend read book one to get a background story.
This one has some intense moments but it is not descriptive. Please check the triggers for this one.
3.5 stars. I didn’t love this as much as the first book but I still really enjoyed it. I really hated the “divorce” part & the touch aversion he had but constantly let others touch him then towards the end that kind of just went away? Then he said he could never love but just all of a sudden loved her? The ending felt very rushed. The surprise pregnancy and the rapes was so unexpected. I wanted a more badass FMC for Vance. He has to be up there with some of my favorite MMCS, Black hair, tattooed, mafia asshole. He deserved better than Primrose…. I honestly couldn’t stand her… Then when she was assaulted by multiple men which is severely traumatizing she just walks it off & it just doesn’t phase her ?
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Our MMC Vance is completely obsessed with our FMC Primrose, yet she doesn’t believe she is worthy of being loved with the trauma that she’s endured.
She pushes Vance away, she feels that whatever future she may have with Vance, may not last, yet she doesn’t see what Vance sees and he’s not going to give up without a fight, especially when he shares his own trauma, and with Primrose by his side, she helps him through.
With every story comes mystery and danger, but for Vance he is wholly and irrevocably in love with Primrose, making it so that she is his forever.
Please be mindful, this is a dark romance and has triggers, as always your mental health matters.
Vance De Luca, the mafia prince with a fierce reputation. He’s strong and powerful in everything he does, just don’t touch him. Primrose is so innocent and sweet. She’s always known she would be married off into the mafia world but never knew at what cost.
Vance and Primrose are two broken souls trying to find healing with each other. They have a connection that only they can understand but their close friends can see how good it is for them too.
I love this tight-nit group of The Misfits. They are family and care for each other as their own. They put each other first and their bond creates an overall bigger story picture. Now next - Madden and Amiyah are next and I can’t wait!!!
I always loved Primrose from the first book we dance in sin. There was just something about her, she seemed so pure and innocent. Vance always seemed to be the dark and mysterious character I couldn’t quite figure him out.
I loved this book, it definitely has its dark moments and I would recommend reading the tigger warnings before diving in.
The push and pull between Vance and Primrose is something else! I love how they both have things from the past that hold them back in a way but the fact that they help each other work though it is amazing!
Holy hell!!! I thought book 1, We Dance in Sin was good, but move over because We Vow in Sin blew it away!!
Vance and Primrose (whom we met in book 1) is everything and then some!! I didn’t know what I was getting into with their story, but I did not expect that!!!
My heart broke for both of them at so many points, even when yelling at Vance to get his head out his ass! lol
MT Morgan, idk what you put in this book, but I was hooked!!! I look forward to book 3!!
Y’all please check the TW/CW’s as they are there for a reason!!!
Story 4.5⭐️ Spice 5⭐️🌶️
I got an ARC copy and this is my honest & true review
Prim and Vance have been spinning circles around each other since the first book. Vance fell for Prim straight away but Prim was not ready. The book starts were the last book left off, Prim has been through a lot and now she is arranged to be married to Vance. Vance is not how I expected, there is more to him than I thought. He would burn the world for Prim.
Prim grew a lot in this book and I love that. Vance has to learn to let go of control and let Prim in.
I want to give it better rating but the second half of the book was not doing it for me. The way it was handled was putting me off.
I loved this book. After reading the first book, i knew Primrose and Vance was going to be a different animal.
MT does a phenomenal job with these characters, backgrounds, world, everything. This is book two is the interconnected standalone and I can’t stop thinking about it!
Primrose is such a sweetheart, with a horrid past and family drama.
Vance is in the mafia, and from the get go he new she was going to be his.
Ugh! This book will pull all you’re heart string! Dark, mafia, arranged marriage, and hot, hot, hot!! You won’t be disappointed!
