From Hindsight to Insight: A Traditional to Metaphysical Memoir

Rate this book
Could it be that whenever we say, "I can't do that," or "I don't have time to try that," or "I don't want to do that," we're ignoring an opportunity? Could it be that saying yes more often in life almost guarantees more opportunities? The author believes that nothing in life is an accident, and wrote this book to inspire and entertain readers with true stories covering an amazing range of widely divergent topics. Some of the subjects covered are common to most people, love and marriage, birth, death, family problems, as well as business successes and failures. Others include mental health issues (bi-polar, Alzheimer's, and autism), kittens, ghosts, animal communications, a congressman, spirituality, a knife-wielding hitchhiker, Hell's Angels...and more.

Her hope is that readers will be entertained and inspired by the stories as they are reminded of occasions in their own lives which have taught and strengthened them.

I enjoyed this memoir about a woman who gradually saw metaphysical/spiritual influences in her life. I liked her other book about raising bottle-baby kittens, too!

This book is a gorgeous collection of stories from a well-lived spiritual life. Despite much adversity, the author found profound lessons in each encounter which she then allowed to guide her future actions. Examples of love and commitment weaving through her life are clear when reading about her taking care of 514 kittens, helping her comatose brother to the other side, and being at the bedside of her dying friend. She had wondered if she had intuitive abilities and, through trial and error, discovered them deep inside. This account is a good guidepost and inspiration for fellow travelers seeking the light.
