I have been slowly reading more "classics" to my children! We enjoyed reading this book together before bedtime two nights in a row. Most of the stories were lovely and we all really enjoyed them, as well as seeing the delightful animal illustrations in the book. I especially liked that most of the stories teach valuable lessons. A couple of stories were a little boring for my children, but overall a cute little book!
I like how every story has a mention of some character from another tale. You get this feeling of: "Oooh yes I know that mouse!". Even though, you know. You really don't. And Mrs. Tiggy-winkle is in here!
Keep in mind, there are two stories here that were also included in The Complete Adventures of Tom Kitten and His Friends.
I've always liked Peter Rabbit and also the Flopsy Bunnies, but I'm wondering whether that's because those are the best stories or if it's because of nostalgia. The rest of the stories were a little bit cute and a little bit entertaining and a little bit pleasantly dull.
